This is the default model that everyone wears in order to render everyone on the screen, it uses a lower amount of memory. It is something they are working to resolve, in one way allowing PC users to use their full memory not just console limited amounts.

I have 2 accounts, so I can swap items among alts more easily.

So I'm standing at the original crash site, early AM EST (several times, between 2 and 5 AM) and both of my 'toons are virtually alone but each sees the other as General Steve.
And this is within the last week/10 days. It's not like the servers are maxed out unless everyone in NA is all in the same one shard.

The idea that I'm going to spend $$ on something that I'm the only one seeing?
    Right.
    These are just my opinions.
    I have lots of opinions.
Some of them, on occasion, people have agreed with.
I do not trust those people.

ok kinda what i figured just was not sure. thanks for the reply. so when i buy new outfits in the bitshop once equipped only i can see it? and to everyone else they see me as wearing the gimp generic suit? or am i misunderstanding? i can understand the rendering issues i suppose with all the cross platform stuff going on im sure it's a real doozy to figure out how to get everyones outfits to render all at the same time... hell lol i cant even do arkfalls with out massive disconnects sometimes but i play on the 360 not pc

    thanks for the quick replies!!

Co-op maps will correctly display each group members outfit.
I've also noticed that the same will apply if grouped with others out in the general world. When not grouped, the people in my clan and friends list get priority over unknown players.

Not the rule on pc, tho it may be frequently true.
My alts on the 2 accounts are in the same clan (mine) and always grouped so I can 'go to' and trade more easily.

    Its horrible. agreed.

Spent 600 BITS on an outfit, and why?

I was under the impression EVERYONE would see it....regret that purchase.

I suggest no one, ever, for any reason, buy ANY outfit, unless they fix this.

And to think that some people (not you) used to tell me that it "wasn't fair" for a price drop on in-game outfits.

The fifth person will get the general steve appearance, but on 360 I continually see either the three people I'm grouped with. If not grouped it seems to randomly choose people from my friends and clan list to display.

Here's a random image I took from this past Saturday. I'm not grouped but two of my clan mates appear correctly, one is behind me and the other is hard to see because he's hidden behind some people.

Here's another image. This one was taken by Shadow Andreas. You can see how group members seem to take priority over clan or friends list.
