The fifth person will get the general steve appearance, but on 360 I continually see either the three people I'm grouped with. If not grouped it seems to randomly choose people from my friends and clan list to display.

Here's a random image I took from this past Saturday. I'm not grouped but two of my clan mates appear correctly, one is behind me and the other is hard to see because he's hidden behind some people.

It's 4 of 7, but I'd love to see more just like everyone else. I'm trying to get clarification on what people are actually seeing. If other platforms aren't seeing anything EVER, we should make sure the dev team is aware of that.

someone ought to post a pic that clearly shows the offending outfit. As I'm confused as to which it is in the posted pics.

It's a waste to spend on outfits at all TBH even if they're seen. Only inventory slots are worth the cash. I will reconsider when outfits and vehicles offer bonuses, perks, etc.

well for the record... i play on the 360. now i would say meh every 3 out of 10 people i will see the outfit they are wearing acctually rendered.

everyone else like at major arkfalls maybe 10 people tops id say. everyone else is just dressed in the generic gimp suit. thats just what i call it because i know of nothing better to call it lol... feel free to clarify that for me there anyone But yea it's always usually just the generic outfit that i see the majority of people wearing on a daily basis for sure.

i kinda feel like a **** because i should have known that this is what was happening. the system just renders everyone in that suit for the most part. because it's easier on resources. wich i suppose makes sense. just gets unnerving sometimes to be honest to always see 800 peeps running around in the same monkey suit. seems to me trion would do the best possible to make it where outfits show on most without having to inspect them.. maybe more people would buy more outfits that way. but what do i know?

That's what gets me. I would rather buy the Dlc because for ten bucks you get:
1: a Vehicle
2: a new race
3: a new outfit and possibly helmet
4: a new (minor) mission
5: a weapons pack
6: one free character remake

For ten bucks in the store you get:
A new truck OR a new outfit MINUS helmet

I think it has something to do with loadouts.
I'll see people morph into General Steve and back standing around all the time.
