Proper Siege Behavior

Now, don't get me wrong. Just because a chinatown siege can be soloed does not mean that is what it is there for. Twice now, I've showed up within 5mins left, score just under 15k by the time it finished. 3 people in the siege?!?! Why was it started, was it asking too much to let others enjoy it? Geesh.

Some misinformation in this thread. Are you sitting there popping off sniper kills or big boomer kills at the last second to steal the killshot? if so, any hatred in your direction is warranted. Despite what trick said about the scoring, you can get more for the last shot then you can from emptying your entire magazine into a volge. It happens all the time. I've gotten them myself where I hit a viscera for 1200 points while someone in my clan was working on it by himself and he barely gets half of that.

I agree with you on that point. I don't like it when there are just 1 or 2 people and they start it. I think the newer players think that it will help them get a higher score if there aren't many people there. Most of your points come from wave 4 or 5 on. So if they start by themselves they are in a actuality hurting themselves.

1st place on one of those sieges made it all the way to..... 30K! I am sure they were just glowing with pride.

A player was doing this very thing the other night - initially I found it a bit perturbing but as I scored 1000 point+ assist after assist my annoyance gave way to the fact that despite him getting that whopping 10% Kill Bonus he was being literally spanked sideways by me...

BTW - this player began the Siege with just me and him (as I waited for others he jumped in the circle) without me there he would have been dead on Wave 1.

Brings up an interesting point - have ya'll been arriving to Sieges that have just begun to find not a soul in sight? It has happened to me numerous times and I laugh thinking of the noob that started it solo and was killed on wave 1 - twice. LOL

When I am in overcharge at a siege, which is about 3/4 of the total time, and I am killing something with my AR - you know you are killing the same thing I am because of how quickly it's health drops and if anyone kill steals, it sure won't be me.

Well i hope i don't steal kill your guys points. It does happen weather on purpose, or accident. I don't think there is a online game out there were i've not seen it happen.

I can vouch for this. I've done experiments to see how the point system works, and as far as I'm concerned, the person that gets the killshot gets the most points. I've stood back and watched players wittle down visceras to a sliver of health, before taking the kill with a crit from my VBI sniper. Nets me over 2000 points, for doing not even a tenth of the other persons damage. On the other hand, I've wittled down visceras to very low health, got into cover and waited for someone else to take the kill. Nets me on average 300 points, even though I did the most damage. As I said, I've done both of these on multiple occasions, just to experiment with it, and I agree with Arsenic on this.

I'm not complaining about kill stealers. I get the 20k I need about halfway through, if not quicker, and usually wait out the rest of the siege so others can get their points. I know if I run around doing damage they won't get as much as they could, and I'm trying to be fair to everyone.

As for the original poster, don't worry about people fussing at you for playing the game. Just try to be fair to everyone, cap out where you'd like to, unless you're really shooting to get the Stage 10 achievement. We are all players of the same game here, let's all be nice and enjoy it with each other.

P.S. Sorry to the few people I stole kills from, I wasn't trying to be a jerk, just trying to make sure I was right about the scoring!
