Please don't take this the wrong way.
Well if you bought the game at launch of course it will cost a lot more then, but due to sales, preowned and the likes, its cheaper now. If you didnt buy the season pass or not going to buy the dlc then thats your choice. Nearly all games come with dlc now and its a players choice whether to buy them or not. You can't argue that someone got the game cheaper down the line, and the season pass for the same price you paid for the base game at launch, so you MUST have the dlc weapons content for free because they didnt pay what we did. The weapon drops are going to be dlc weapons.
That pretty much goes for every game out there. Yeah the price went down quite soon but thats business my friend. But maybe the login rewards will be better for veteran players. That would be a nice touch.
Just my opinion.
By now what he is saying should hopefully be clear to you and he's made a very valid point. That is a lot of useless drops added to the loot table for non-DLC owners unless you make a separate loot drop table for DLC2 content only. We know this is doable because Volge Sieges have a separate loot drop table for their Tier Lock Box rewards since the Volge rifles don't drop anywhere else in the game so I hope this is in fact what was done. If you don't know the answer could you please check with the development team and hopefully confirm that the DLC2 specific loot only drops from DLC2 content?
It does influence our willingness to purchase DLCs, as far as our agreement with content they decide to include. It influences our willingness and/or ability to recommend the game or pan it to anyone who might listen, and it influences our willingness to associate ourselves with any future product that TRION has an stake in.
nVidia bought 3dFX and orphaned every bit of 3dFX's projects. I got stuck with several vidcards and no driver support. The issue is that I was using some programs and games optimized for 3dFX which left me with much lesser performance.
I'll never buy an nVidia product for any reason, forever. Personal opinion, and I have control of 2 networks, influence over several dozen computers and a buncha users.

Reminds me of an orangutan.
These are just my opinions.
I have lots of opinions.
Some of them, on occasion, people have agreed with.
I do not trust those people.

Thanks, Elizabeth. I appreciate that there will at least be a discussion before the DLC is released.
I understand the desire to provide a benefit for players that purchase the DLC, and I'm certainly not opposed to them receiving full value for their purchase. Exclusive content is the way to provide that, and since exclusive access to new areas is off the table, exclusive use of new equipment is really the best option to provide bang for their buck. I fully support a healthy balance of paid versus free content in the DLC and this DLC seems like it will strike a better balance than the first.
I'm not asking for free access to those weapons, I'm just asking for a drop model that doesn't penalize me on top of forgoing access to the new shinies by reducing my drops of weapons that I can use.
Ideally, you should only get drops that you can use. Trick said in the State of the Game blog post that "Higher rarity weapons will always be accompanied with celebration and never disappointment." Dropping a rare weapon that I can't use just means that I didn't get a rare weapon that I can use. That's not cause for celebration.
The arkbreaker exclusive weapons only drop from completing arkbreaks and will not drop from lockboxes. Any weapon or item which does come from a lockbox is usable by the purchaser. You already paid money for the lockbox, it would be insane to charge you again to then use the item.
