I watched so many videos of that.. lol. Nuts. But what I'm saying is: Is that really possible on servers that aren't 'privately' made for players to play in? I was under the impression that people couldn't lag-switch on servers like Defiances', but then again.. people say nothing is UN-hackable.

You know you can always inspect him and do it to, instead of complaining like everyone else does. This games PVP is what give them flavor, I think the nerfing that's been done is perfect. Stop complaining and get better gear

Inspecting does nothing because it has nothing to do with gear or perk loadouts. If you'd bothered to read the thread carefully instead of posting ignorant statements like this you would understand that it's an exploit that can't be accounted for by any gear or perk loadout.

What happened to the whole, perks+weapons/shield with nano+weapons with certain rolls?

Read my post at #68 in this thread. You can only have that kind of damage resistance for 3 seconds tops with a legitimate build. It cannot account for the similar level of damage resistance shown in videos of the players in question where their damage reistance is flat, e.g. constant versus only lasting 3 seconds, and the players are not reloading while being attacked so damage resistance bonuses while reloading aren't a factor.

They think they're shooting him, but he's really 2 or 3 feet forward, or backward, or to the side, than he really is. You just haven't seen him move yet because your connection isn't running as fast as his is. Things like this run rampant through old shooters, like WaW and the first MW, the first Battlefield BC, KZ2, etc. I wouldn't call it a glitch or a bug, as it is something that the player intentionally puts into the game and controls, not something already in the game. I don't think it's a hack either, as hacks generally tend to give infinite health, or shields, or powers, or ammo, or any number of other things, but there is no such thing as giving infinite lag. You can give infinite disconnects by running Botnet DDoS attacks though. But in all technicality, that's not hacking something; it's bombarding something with so many requests that it can't process and run. Maybe it can be considered an exploit? Hell, who even cares about the terminology?
I have a 50mbit connection with a 22ms ping to accounts.trion.com. I know this is not their farm gateway but it should be in the same geographical location. At 22ms constantly, I should at least see a hit indicator. If it is the other client that is lagging, then it is awfully convenient that he only lags when I have him lined up in the scope but has zero lag when I'm in his.

That's the whole idea mate. He's not lagging, you're lagging. And the lagging you're getting has nothing to do with your connection, but everything to do with the players lag-switch. Lag-switch is exactly what it sounds like. He flips the switch, you lag, but you don't know you're lagging until you try to hit him.

I really hope that I'm just a bad player and that there is something I'm doing wrong, because considering these people can pull off mess like this and have it go undetected is a Trion fail-fest.

Better yet, if you would like to completely clear your name Web you should be the one recording your play and showing everyone it is legitimate, no?

This lag switch you guys are speaking of, sounds more like messing with data packet xmission to me.
