So what do we get if we paid for this next dlc?

Just what the title says. I'm a bit confused on what we get.

The extremely short quest line to get the ability to call down arkfalls which seems to be ultimately irrelevant if anyone can jump in.
A volge engineer outfit that probably looks pretty terrible.

They also said increased daily and weekly log in bonuses, no idea what that means?

From the looks of it, you actually get less for the paid portion of this DLC then you did with the first DLC. I didn't think it was possible but damn.

Is it better to out-monster the monster or to be quietly devoured?

It just feels like less because the Raptor is such a hard act to follow.
    1.05 shotgun mag boost? REALLY?
PC/NA&EU, too many toons to list.

Not sure I'm detecting sarcasm or not. Any way, I'm just glad we finally get some more coop missions.

The first portion of that post is an overview of what's in the DLC: you get the arkbreaker storyline, the ability to call down the arkfalls and all that comes within when you do, daily/weekly bonuses, new weapons, and the Volge outfit.

    From the linked page:

    ARKBREAKER DLC EXCLUSIVES
    NEW STORY LINE

Race against Dark Matter to secure an ark-brain interface with the power to call down arkfalls. In the wrong hands, it could be used against ark hunters across the New Frontier. In your hands, it will yield incredible new technologies from arkfalls you bring to Earth.

    SUMMON ARKFALLS

Call down all-new arkfalls and battle your way inside. Explore interior environments holding new and advanced weapons (and Volge enemies ready to defend them!).

    WIELD NEW WEAPONS

Discover cold fire sniper rifles, pistols, and assault rifles in player-summoned arkfalls, plus 20 new advanced-tech weapons that put a spin on your current favorites.

    BATTLE THE WARMASTER

The world-conquering Volge Warmaster is serious business – for 20 players – for 7 minutes. After that, this final boss of our new major arkfall will teleport back to the Volge. Defeat the Warmaster before he vanishes to earn some of the best loot in Defiance!

    VOLGE OUTFIT AND MORE

Everyone who gets the Arkbreaker DLC pack also receives the Volge Engineer outfit and increased daily and weekly log in bonuses.
If DLC2 follows the structure of DLC1, then the new weapon types, like the charge weapons, are not exclusive. Furthermore, anyone can enter the arkfalls once they're called down and the exterior cleared, correct?

If so, then that leaves paid content with:
    • Storyline. (which in past added content has been rather underwhelming)
    • Ability to call down arkfalls. (although people without the DLC will still be able to do them)
    • A volge outfit.
    • Additional log in bonuses. (although players without the DLC will get log in bonuses as well)
    That's not impressive!

A few things beg for clarification, though. The warmaster is listed as an exclusive. Will players without the DLC be able to proceed to the warmaster's chamber and fight him? Will players without the DLC be able to loot rewards when defeating the warmaster?

    ADDITIONAL FEATURES
FREE FOR ALL PLAYERS WHEN ARKBREAKER GOES LIVE
    CO-OP EVOLVED

Team up to play through all of the missions in Defiance and dive into co-op versions of single-player instances!

    SPIKES

Grant ammo, increased damage, and shield power to allies with hi-tech ground Spikes. Once planted, Spikes radiate benefits to nearby players for a set duration or until destroyed.

    STIMS

Get juiced with special hypospray Stims that provide healing, speed and strength boosts, or an EGO power refresh. Like double Overcharge? Inject away!

    FAVORITE ITEMS

Mark items as favorites to have them jump to the top of your inventory, and sell or break down all non-favorite items at the press of a button.

    AND MORE

We’re rolling out daily and weekly log in rewards plus Contract revamps, continued combat refinements, and more. Stay tuned to the Community blog for the latest DLC and Defiance info.
I and others have expressed our misgivings on the spikes and stims. The rest are tweaks and repairs from my point of view, and shouldn't really be mentioned as part of the DLC.

From what I can tell, you get a volge suit, a "storyline" and additional log in bonuses with the DLC.

Without the DLC, you'll still be able to do the new arkfalls. You'll still be able to find cold fire weapons. You'll still get to use the new consumables. You'll still get log in bonuses.

Still unanswered is if players without the DLC will be able to proceed to the warmaster fight, and be eligible for his loot.

    Edit:

Dahanese posted in another thread about weapon exclusivity.

Basically, you can do anything but shoot them (and if you do get the DLC in the future, you can use them!)

TL;DR - they are absolutely tradeable to everyone.

Sound about right this is how Trion rewards loyalty and veteran players. They get you to pay for something everyone else gets. Just look at their track record. For a long time the clan boost did not work but they still kept taking our money and not saying anything. We asked them to fix things; they nerf emergency keys. We complain about that and got the contribution nerf. They do all these ninja nerfs reducing the orange and enemy drop rates so you spend more money. Meanwhile none of the bugs were getting fixed. A lot of them are still not fixed.

The veteran players got screwed a lot and in no way were compensated. They paid full price and got to 5k ego then had to deal with the insanely high salvage matrix cost. Then they make our prepatch weapons into crap so that we spend more money trying to get better gear. And the extra life weapons were better for lower ego payers. They treat their costumers like crap and they don't even fix things. The chat still sucks.

The damage reduction is just part of them trying to get more money out of you. They want you to spend it on stims, spikes, and granades. Yup they definetly don't reward loyalty. The paid DLC 1 was bad this one sounds worse.

Trion drop the requirement to start PvP, give better rewards for PvP, and balance the ego powers. Make freightyard and military academy like shadow wars so that only one location is open if their is not many people. Also fix military academy's invisible walls and lighting. Make chat better and fix things first before you make any more DLC. Listen to your community. If you guys continue down this road of only trying to get money from people and not actually fixing the problems your going to loose your community.
