Well I'm gonna be playing all evening. Let's group up if we meet. If we can get at least 4 ppl it's a start.

Yeah man I'll probably be down for that, the randoms have been really bad lately anyway - the last group had 16 people below 400k... how does that even happen... and we were definitely full when we started.

Another day, another failure to get a kill on PC EU. After experimenting some more, I have to agree with your assessment of method 3 being the best. It really maximizes damage in all phases of the fight: the ground pounder does significant health damage while the warmaster is moving around and his arm is hard to target; the high white DPS weapon does enough damage to the armor while he's hanging to break it fairly fast; the wolfhound deals insane critical damage once the armor is off.

The main problem I'm seeing right now is that people are just sticking to one weapon and using it no matter what is happening. It's very obvious when that weapon is a Typhoon or Thunderer. While these weapons may be sort of acceptable before the armor is blown off, everyone really needs to switch to a wolfhound once it is.

TBH if people want to just use one weapon and spam it thoughtlessly I really wish they would choose the ground pounder to be that weapon - it's so simple, almost no learning curve. Maybe I should do that, add:

    Method 4 "Face Roll."

This method is meant for you to roll your face over your keyboard in any direction you would like helping people kill the boss and get phat lewtz with no effort at all. For this method you will choose to equip the Ground Pounder then proceed to roll away.

    explosive method

The xbox team ran again today and we struggled with the WM. we do pull overall dmg but its not enough dmg to his right arm. Have a couple people who can crit 10k+ with the VBR while hes hanging but everyone else needs to be shattering the crystal with bullets. Also damage spikes do stack so we had the entire floor lit up with them and a couple ammo spikes which made it fairly easy for us

Thank you for the update :-)

This is why I recommend Method 3, it solves this problem. Those 10k crits don't really matter because while looking big a pretty they are actually less DPS than breaking the armor during the burn phase with white damage and exposing a crit point for significantly higher DPS weapons. This is why I recommend that people run a ground pounder and a high DPS white damage weapon at minimum, and if they want to go the extra mile run two loadouts to add in a wolfhound.

Its slightly easier to have our heaviest hitters take out his health with VBRs while the rest of the team focuses on the crystal and then we all swap to our high crit weaps as stated in your setups

Anyone using a VBR is likely not actually the "heavy hitter" they think they are - sure their score might look good, but let me explain why they really aren't helping as much as they could:

I have a orange VBR with a x2.7crit @ 1195 DMG (that's 3 crit rolls, a crit mod, and a 10% damage roll) with a burst mag that's 6775 mag crit DPS and 4917 mag average crit DPS. I have a blue wolfhound (x5.6 crit mult) with a mag crit DPS of 13504 (1.99 times more than the VBR) and a average crit dps of 9247 (1.9 times more than the VBR). So this blue wolfhound can out DPS that orange VBR, with its HUGE crit mult and a +10% damage roll, in almost half the time (taking out more health than if the VBR got 100% crits for all of the burn phases for the whole fight). So if those "big hitters" would chose to hit big with a armor breaking weapon instead, they would be helping everyone much more, because they would be helping to break the armor even faster, giving the wolfhounds even more time to **** face.

At least that's how I see it.

I wanted to add that I am interested in promoting people using a broader range of weapons in order to both kill the WM and have fun, which is why I've been working to expand my recommendations within reason. But there are problems that happen when you do that, so I want people to also make an informed decision. I'm trying my best not to say "don't use them," but I do have to object when they are called "the heavy hitters" (lol) and want the sacrifice that is being made to be well understood - and why I am resistant to them.

It's getting a little smoother on PS3 I think. As long as the people that make it into the Arkbreak wait for everyone else to get back from DC'ing and we get a full team for the WM.

I got in a number of runs with my clan today but there were only around 6 to 10 of us in the clan each run. A few of us would make it in, the rest of us would get DC'd , and those of us that get DC'd would reboot and be able to spawn on each other to get back in. Still though there were just ten of us inside. And all it takes is one random PUGer to blast the cage open before other players funnel in.

Still though we were able to get a few decent runs in and were able to wait for more players a couple times. Most of us did the Ground Pounders in the first few tries but the armor wasn't breaking quite as fast. Our best run was getting him to about 20%. I decided to focus on breaking the armor that time, running a VOT Pulser, Radiation converted, with 15% DMG from behind mastery, and a double crit Hound for Crit Phase. We had a few others working with Radiation that time too and still had the Ground Pounders out there as well. And it worked pretty well.

Still think that if we could just get a full game of people that know what's up then we have it. Main problem on our servers are the fools starting the WM fight with just a few people in the room.
