I guess Skyrim isn't one of the games in your library. Bethesda had so many problems in trying to deal with stability issues for the PS3 version of the game that it actually officially stopped releasing DLC for the game indefinitely after the first DLC and had to work on the issue for months (and it wasn't even a server based game and Bethesda had a lot more bodies to throw at the problem) before it finally released the remaining DLC for certification with Sony.

While it's no excuse for any game company for putting a game on the market for the PS3 that doesn't run well there are undeniably unique challenges that an outside game developer has to deal with in making a game that's designed to run on the Xbox and PC run on the PS3 as well. That's not a statement in defense of Trion, just an explanation of why one can have multi-platform game run relatively well on 2 of the game platforms while it doesn't run well on the PS3.

    Shrug...
Is anyone surprised by the delay and DLC launch day issues?
I can see the nubes throwing a fit, they haven't learned yet.

I'm waiting until everything is up and running, whenever that happens, then I will do a complete fresh install of the game, not just the patch, something i do after every client side patch.

Mad Kain "Pale Wars Ronin" created- launch day

A developer is only as good as the last thing they released.
-Rift- was why i was willing to spend $160 pre-ordering the ultimate edition of Defiance a couple weeks before launch.
-Defiance- is why i won't buy another Trion title at full price if at all.

but did you see they started at 1pm? i thought they were supposed to start at 10am. if I was that late on a project at work, or had to extend 4 hours, I would not be returning to work the next day. I guess they have different standards, because its not like they had enough time to prep for today right?

Add Mass Effect 3 Multiplayer to the list as well. PC and Xbox had some troubles, but the PS3 community had endless disconnects and complete freezing when playing certain areas or enemy factions. And then it was all Bioware's fault.

    These are just my opinions.
    I have lots of opinions.
Some of them, on occasion, people have agreed with.
I do not trust those people.

I never saw these issues with both ME3 or Skyrim. I pre-ordered both and both worked like silk at midnight (or was it 1am?) when steam unlocked the preload.

Skyrim and Mass Effect never had any notable stability problems with the PC, just your typical occasional BSD and CTD's with certain hardware configurations that were fixable with eventual driver updates. Both were still very playable on the PC. Skyrim was buggy as hell though but that's what one can come to expect from a large open world environment game from Bethesda. The difference between the release version and the GOTY version is always like night and day for them in that regard.

I do not see this as huge deal, i knew there would be issues after reading the Alpha thread, and this isn't my first MMO ride, what i find funny is everyone going at Trion like these Patch day issues are new....

Every MMO i have played i've seen issues with big patches and additions, Trion is just one in a crowd of them..
