Funny thing is loads players (me included) begged for a mass salvage option. Looks like it should be used with utmost caution.

Same here but then again I am done with Defiance. I only check in once every 3 months or so to see if the DLC I stupidly paid for with a Season Pass is out (and fucntioning).

If I were you I'd try to open a ticket and go into live chat. If you ask nicely maybe they'll be able to do something for you. Probably not giving you the exact same items back, only re-rolled versions, but that would be better than nothing.
