My guess is that you didn't...
How is it that so many people didn't favorite everything before doing anything else? First 40 mins after the patch I was in inventory management. Favoriting every, damn, thing. (Could've used that 'page down' button Wow So UI, just sayin')
My first 30 minutes of this patch consisted of marking everything in my inventory as favorite; as well as rebinding keys and adjusting graphics...

They might be able to restore as I'm pretty sure people who have done stuff like delete their character on accident got it recovered in the past. But who knows...
First thing I did when getting on was favorite everything. Once that was finally done though man... that feature was much needed!
My only complaint is that favorites clutter up the top of your inventory so you have to scroll through everything to see what you've picked up. Luckily at the vendors you don't see your favs in the sell part.
It didn't take me that long to favorite everything, ut I did do so as well. Well I favorited everything except for the DLC / Patch itself. That is a far cry from favorite...
Except Syther is right. First, look at the join date below the name. They've been on the forums since well before the game went live. Second, if you use the mass salvage you get a confirm pop-up on your screen. It asks you if you are sure.

Sorry to hear about your loss, but it couldn't hurt to ask if this can be reversed from live support. Placing a ticket might get answered, so try live instead...but try to do this ASAP.
And really is it necessary to post "Youtube type" insulting comments? Mistakes can happen to anyone, and slamming Ulquiorra72 for this error is considered non respectful and non-constructive discussion (as per the code of conduct). Helping one another and sharing experiences creates a better community for all of us.
