    Not going to happen. The grenade mechanics are married to the new UI so it's highly improbable that they will rollback to the old system. The best we can hope for is that they'll implement some of the tweaks and fine tuning that players have suggested to make the new system more bearable.

    I could live with it if ammo drops filled up whatever grenade you had equipped along with your weapons, that would at least keep the combat fast paced and exciting like it used to be. As it is I use up my 5 grenades and then just...don't use grenades. It's lame.

    Has anyone purchaced named grenades? How do they work? Will using hail mary recharge all 3 slots just once or is it ongoing?Is the recharge on the grenade good for all 3 slots?

    There is no longer grenade recharge. All grenade recharge bonuses should have been changed to grenade damage bonuses. If any haven't then they're quite useless.

    Ok, it's been a while and I have played with them a lot. My conclusion is that I could live with it, save my nades till I get to the BUFF or a mob, then toss them early to improve the odds. BUT switching types in heavy combat is horrible. Plus I lose track of how many I have left so I pause to toss...and nothing. Since I generally use grenades mostly on heavies or big crowds, that is bad.

    The simplest fix I can think of is when I use up the supply of one type, autoswitch to the next type. Then let me arrange the order. If I go to toss a frag and I get a bio I know my frags are gone but I don't have to find out by standing there looking stupid while I DON'T toss a nade. At least it has SOME effect.

    It's a baffling change to say the least.

    The grenade system was fine and I don't remember a single person complaining about it or asking to change how grenades work.

    What even prompted the devs to make this change? With so many other things that need to be added or fixed, they instead change a game mechanic that was fun and simple into something that is annoying to use.

    Trion continues to show how utterly clueless they are running their own game.

    I'd rather it be the way it was before. I really miss my 0 det frag and pyro.

    Don't know if this has been mentioned as I haven't read the whole thread, but I did find that if you are empty of your current grenade, you can long press on the gear pick up button (square on PS3) over a grenade on the ground and it will switch you to that type. Doesn't work if you have 1 or more tho, which is kinda stupid.

    Trion did not implement the grenade changes very well...The inability to pick up drops can't be "working as intended".
