Orange drop rates

I got an Orange Pyro Grenade out of some sort of lock box, but I think Tier 4 is the best option just because you can't get Greens out of them. I love my Orange Pyro.

It was recently tweaked to remove Greens, it wasn't always like that.

I wont lie I'm on a dry spell right now. I've opened up 30-40 tier4 lockboxes in a month and I haven't came across an orange since I got a BMG at 300ish ego. (Started a new character so I could sell stuff at low ego) I'm wondering is any one else in a dry spell. Should I quit blowing 64 keys and open Tier3's. What works for you?

Try hitting all dark matter ark falls even if it is just the end monolith and heal someone. Before yesterday's patch I have got tons of orange volge battle rifles (I think my last count was 15). The volge sieges do drop other legendary's albeit rarely. Supposedly the afflicted do too now, but I haven't gotten one yet to confirm.

I have bought several hunderd T4s since launch and quite a few T3 and T2s. I have never seen an Orange......ever......

My god, I thought I had bad luck. What platform are you on? If your on PC-NA and high ego I can give you battle rifle or one of the legendary's I am not using just out of sympathy.

Pulled a vbi smg on my low ego toon before the server went down. And it had no nano! So now I have a ego 243 vbi smg with no nano! So that gives me more salvage! lmao

Last week I got 3 orange weapons from lock boxes.

Vot Longshot Cannon with triple reload bonuses (white, green, blue), 10% EGO recharge on reload, and 2.00 velocity

VBI TACC Auto-Shotgun (don't recall the stats but they were okay)

VBI SO-2 Courier with white reload bonus, green crit bonus, blue accuracy bonus, 10% EGO recharge on reload, and orange reload bonus. With a rapid shot mod it reloads almost instantly and the reticle is as tight as it could possible be from the hip. I'm hopeful it will have a EGO recharge on full reload mastery bonus which would make it a perfect OJ in my mind.

don't bother with tier 3's. That's what I went with for months and would get 1 legendary every 150 boxes or so. stick with the tier 4s. I hit dry spells too going a month or more, then i'll get lucky and start hitting 2 legends in a single box plus arkfalls and suddenly I got 5 in 1 day. I don't know if there's a math to it or not, location, etc. but i wait out the dry spells and eventually it will pay off.

I want to do the contract load all orange on a layout, and I have the 2 weapons and a grenade, but no orange armor.

First you mean orange shield and second, several of us have done it, but those orange shields are extremely hard to get.
