Can you buy the DLC for someone else without gifting through steam?

    Title says it all.

Steam is the only game webstore I know of with a "gifting" concept I wish more store fronts did it

Other than steam or amazon I don't know.

As for your cry about views, would you rather 33 reads or 33 replies of 'I don't know'

I'm afraid I don't know, perhaps if Morgana spots this on her rounds she'll throw an answer in.

Well I'm going to assume you mean to buy for someone else via the internet, in that case it you could look at which online stores have the dlc in stock and possibly try some kind of gift card / voucher feature. Off the top of my head, both amazon and play.com have this option.

Failing that you could check your local stores and mail them a hard copy.

    Yes and no...

Steam requires you to have purchased 'Defiance' from them to get the DLC/Season Pass codes. What you do with those codes afterwards is up to you, this will fudge up any attempts later on for you to get a working code for yourself though as Steam doesn't let you double purchase things for yourself.

Gifting will work the same way in that the person you gift will have to have purchased 'Defiance' from Steam in order to claim the codes.
