The new surge bolters are overpowered and need to be nerfed asap

You're in for a hilarious experience. Just drive around and look for roadside emergencies. I think I vaporized about 30 Volge on the road. When you get to a 99er emergency try to position yourself so that one is in front of the other. The Surge Bolter will kill both of them in one charged shot.

i managed this in PVP the other day i was aiming for the nearest target with my splitshot and i managed to headshot another player a few meters behind him who unfortunately had his head lined up with my target's.
i felt godlike for a few seconds after that
i think we can drop the sci fi tag to defiance. its clearly fantasy when a sniper rifle can split its shots and still precisely crit without even taking aim.

not so much a sniper rifle than a looooong range shotgun :/

Surge bolters were already making PvP unplayable, so there's no big loss there. But now it's going to make PvE unfun too, because everyone is going to run around with one, one-shooting everything as it spawns. Their damage is way, way too high given the huge forgiveness of their hitbox and their total lack of movement accuracy.

Sorry, people around me at that siege. I know it must not have been very fun to not be able to kill anything as I was murdering the Volge as soon as they spawned, but I needed to make a point. Also, this was done with an unmodded orange splitshot. Which is not at all the most efficient surge bolter out there for this.

Myself and a friend have the OJ of that charge rifle. We have been doubling everyone else's score combined for the past few days. I have to say I agree. This weapon seems to put the entire game on easy-mode and I really hate to feel as if I'm being pigeon held into using a single weapon to get a warm spot on the leaderboards.

This gun = pvp lulz ; Headshot? Nope, still dead. Foot shot? Yep. Result? Dead.

You're absolutely right.
Everyone should use the Surge Bolter all the time as the only weapon.
In fact, The Devs should replace all the weapons in our inventory's with Surge Bolters because, being the most powerfull weapon we can shoot, AND being almost impossible to miss a hipshot fired from a Surge Bolter there's really no reason to HAVE any other weapon.

I'll bet that when they follow your most excellent suggestion and do away with all the other weapons they'll save so much programing effort fixing weapons that they can just draw straws to fire one of the two devs left.

I don't know about all these other QQ'ers, but I find using one weapon all the time throughout the whole game to be the most fun I can have sober without car keys involved.

I don't think I could in joy it more....

Sure, because Surge Bolters haven't destroyed major Arkfalls, Sieges or anything of the sort!

And even a glancing blow in PVP now is enough to kill you, you don't even need a full charge. The Devs have already admitted it's a bug, and that some ******* messed up a decimal place, so they're literally 10 times more powerful than before... and they sure as hell didn't need a buff before anyway.

Yes, the disappearing car bug is annoying, but it's hardly game breaking like this.
