I use the splitshot. But just to get to the 40k now. After that, switch to another gun I'm ranking up.

used to be able to get the tier 4 reward with saw/grind fragger setup easy before. But, I'd be a fool to try that now. (did try it until I got an purple splitshot--adapt and change.)

pfft what pvp is balanced?
i was getting my head blown off by snipers in SWs before any new weapons came along,
being 1 shotted with an older weapon isnt too dissimilar to being 1 shotted by a new weapon doing thrice the dmg.
learning how to shoot them right back is the fun part. being quicker on the draw and knowing how to use cover and LoS.
i Love the PVP as it is, a few months back on a slower computer i wasnt having too much fun, but now its non-stop pew pew.
some days i can walk in to PVP and dominate, other times i play like a pudding.

I would be happy to give up my SB if they dropped top score to 30K. I will use it to get 40k then drop to what ever weapon class i am leveling. I don't care about seeing my name at the top unless some random volge pisses me off.

Cry babies ruin all video games. I like watching players kill with the surge bolter. It is called team work.

This alone makes it clear you are completely clueless about the mechanics of Volge Sieges. It's a zero sum game.

Sieges have lost their appeal to me. Between the increased top tier level (40K), surge bolters and the reduced rewards (think grenades), I can't see a reason to do them.

I only do them anymore if the afflicted siege already started. I use my bolter too on Volges because you almost have to if you want to get any kills and score 40k before someone else vaporizes them with their bolter. (I can't wait for that gun nerf.)

I just wanted to comment on the 40k score. When DLC 2 dropped I thought that score was crazy, I could always score above 20k but 40 was pushing it for me. But they nerfed all the Volge and I found even with out spikes and stims 40 was very easy to score for me using my tachmag.

Surge Bolters being overpowered is more of a fact now. Any weapon that can destroy a Volge Viscera in 2-3 shots is overpowered. I remember when Viscera's were released in Defiance and provided a challenging battle. Now they are just paper thin and easy to kill.
