No worries....the game really does not explain much about weapon mods or mastery. In the beginning....it took a while for us to realize that once mastered you didn't gain weapon XP....and back then there was no reset....so you trashed the weapon (unless it was really good) and started using another one. Now if you find a good one you just pay to reset it until you are at lvl 20....then there is no reason to reset it.

Yeah, I have dumped a few of my faves because they were mastered. No sense keeping them in inventory. But with a reset...

    Howdy,

    Yep, that was me.

Red Twi' Lek Scoundrel. Last name was Nolte I think?

That was a lot of fun for a while. Really enjoyed my time in SWTOR--especially the PvP. For some reason I liked it when a lot of folks didn't. I thought about going back and giving it a whirl but I really wanted to give Defiance a deep look. So far I'm loving it.

Did we play together/against each other?

I couldn't agree more. My only gripe so far is the vagueness of instruction. But that's a blessing in disguise as it brings folks (hopefully) to the forum. Maybe promotes a little community interaction. Plus, I just discovered that Youtube is *loaded* with tutorials. That, plus the help from you veterans makes newbie life a LOT easier.

There are a lot of helpful people on the forums and a lot of good information if you use the search function to see if things have been discussed already. I don't mind responding to assistance questions when I can actually help....others will say to search the forums before you ask. There is a lot on Youtube and here that can help you...it's just a matter of finding it.

If you need a good answer to a question or are looking for data recorders, be sure to check out defiance data. It is a really well put together fan site.

    Awesome,

    Thanks, Holy.

Always good to have a go-to site when you're jumping into a new game. I'll give that one a shot.

Lots of good help here, really appreciate it. I started MMOs back with UO/EQ and there weren't many online sources for info, so we had to *gasp* ask each other! So it's great when I can ask a question on a forum and folks give answers instead of "Google's ----> way." That said, google's pretty great, too. Haha.
