I noticed in my inventory some of my weapons have a gold star next to them. What does that mean?
Marks them as favorites. Makes it so you can't sell them and they appear at the top of your inventory screen.

Plus, you can un-favorite them simply by clicking on the star. You can also Favorite an item by clicking on the grayed-out star, which is a pretty good idea. That way you can use the "Sell All" or "Mass Breakdown" buttons without risking losing stuff you want to keep.
