Volge and AOE Weapons are NOT good to fight the Warmaster.

A good example of this: my favourite weapon is the Volge Recon rifle, just because I think it's cool, although I do avoid taking it into the WM, I will use it for most other things even of it is in-effective.

Those weapons are always their at the vendors so how are they hard to find? Im not sure what problem I presented. If its that your weapon has more DPS that not true i have one with two crit trolls and a purple crit mod it it is not more DPS on a single target.
About the golden rule you were basically saying in other words unless you give me weapons I will continue to use a weapon that will cause people to miss.

Because these great weapons that you say are in the vendors, weren't great weapons for me. I tried them. I compared them to my Volge Battle Rifle. I always decided I liked the Battle Rifle more.

I saw my triple crit Volge Battle Rifle as having very good DPS. Simply because, with good aim, I could land crits on 5 enemies and kill each one with one shot. In a small amount of time.

The golden rule has nothing to do with what you're saying. It is simply, "Do unto others as you would have done unto yourself". How is that hard to understand? If you want to be treated with respect, then treat others with respect. If you want to be treated with kindness, then treat others with kindness. Simple, no?

You give people too much credit. I doubt many are out to intentionally cause you and others to miss. They're just using what they think works for them, without actually realizing that it doesn't work as well as it does in other situations. The Volge Battle Rifle isn't a bad weapon in any activity except for this one. They just haven't come to realize that it's bad in this one.

Let's be honest here. People will use what they want to. Doesn't matter if you give them a triple crit wolfhound. If they don't like it, they'll use the Battle Rifle instead. Can you stop it? No. All you can do is complain about it and try to spread the word to more players so less end up being a hindrance like the one that refuses to stop using it. Simple? Simple.

I did indeed love that Battle Rifle. Twas a shame seeing it go. But I love my VBI TACC AR even more.

They can fix the glitching though from what trick said, it's intentional due to player blocking his path.

What confuses me is the fact that this did not happen one single time in the first day it was out, and people were running the WM like crazy. Then they put that patch out and all of the sudden BAM! he's glitching like a mo-fo left and right.

Honestly, I suspect it's the poo shoes effect causing it. I don't think it's players as he just walks through players launching them out of the way, but if he has the bio stuff he slows down and probably has a timer between when he starts walking and when he hangs, and if he doesn't make it there in time he just jumps up wherever he is (to keep the fight continuing in case he gets stuck, as Trick said).

Also, around the time the patch hit was when people found out they could use the bio grenades to slow him down making him a little easier to shoot at at times. I suspect people are also using bio guns because of the weapon selection to effectively fight him is rather limited, and they might not be fortunate enough to have a decent siphon or radiation wolfhound or SMG/Thunder/Whatever.

So, poo shoes causing pathing issues and making him glitch - that's my theory at least.

Probably another case of saying something that isn't so. Adamantly insisting that it is and eventually conceding that it needs to be fixed. All the while we don't get a single apology for wasting our time and not looking into it sooner. Couple things he said didn't add up or reflect the game we're playing.

It does have to do with the golden rule because how would you like it if some one kept blocking your view and said he would only stop if you gave him weapons. I doubt that you would want someone to do that to you.

You dont need a triple crit wolfhound. I use a wolfhound with only one crit bonus and a fall off barrel and manage to get over 2 mill. regularly. The rest of the bonuses are accuracy and mastery is recoil. You dont need a really good wolfhound, any will do. The rep vendor weapons will also beat your battle rifle. Just because it your battle rifle has 3 crit bonuses does not mean its has more DPS.

But nowhere does it say in-game that anyone, regardless of score, has a change at getting a legendary, if the Warmaster is beaten. For all the non-forumers know, it could be based the same way as sieges are. When the Warmaster first came out, I did actually believe that rewards were based on personal score rather than group score, because when I scored higher, I got blues and purples, whereas when I scored low I got greens. Now that I've read the forums, I know that it's based on group effort. But again, if I hadn't read the forums, I wouldn't know that.



Actually, as I said, until I hit ego 1700, my Volge Battle Rifle was the best gun I had. I couldn't compare any other gun I had to it. It kept me alive, when other guns failed. It was even good against the Volge, which was the real seller for me. We all started as scrubs having difficulty with the Volge. The Battle Rifle changed that for me. I doubt I'm the only one in the game that had this experience. And no, I never pulled a Vot Pulser until I started using that Volge Battle Rifle in sieges, and the one I got didn't compare to the Battle Rifle.

You're talking about greed in a game that encourages steal-killing. Seriously? C'mon now. Of course people are greedy. If you have no skill, you have to be greedy. Surge bolters are going to continue to be abused until they're nerfed. Then you'll see the abusers on here whining about it, because then they won't be able to hit top scores and get their chance at a legendary. Greed.

Trolls? Seriously? I'm just.. I actually have to think about this one. So, you think the people using Volge Battle Rifles are doing it just to troll? Specifically, to troll you? Or anyone else? If I wasn't a member of these forums, and I went to a Warmaster and used my Volge Battle Rifle, and afterwards was called a troll for it, do you know what I'd do? I'd tell the player to go eat their own shtako and get out of my face. Because I wouldn't felt like I was contributing, even though I wouldn't be. Now, if you could present proof, then I'd take your words and change my gun. But what proof can you offer in the game? With the "chat system"? Heh.



They were hard to find for me. I never saw in the vendors a weapon that I believed topped my Volge Battle Rifle. It was mostly detonators, semi-autos, sawed offs, and rocket launchers that I saw. None of them ever topped my Battle Rifle. And I'm not free-loading, or trolling, thank you very much. I'm stating the facts of my experiences and giving a workable solution to the problem that you all present.



Not a load of BS, and 1700 isn't exactly new. Read my response to another person above. Volge Battle Rifle was the best I had till 1700. Btw, it was purple, and very nice with its triple crits. Nothing else I got before 1700 topped it.

I have not held a Wolfhound in my hands in the entire time I've played. And I've been in-game since launch, with a space of time in-between them and now. Usually two to three hours a day on the days that I play, and the total amount of days would be at least 2, if not 3 months. I'm terrible with time.

I sold every gun I got from the storyline. I tried them all, compared them to my Volge Battle Rifle, and my Battle Rifle always did better for me.

Whites... I don't think I've ever seen any player use a white gun except for when they're leveling. They're just.. Low tier. Generally, the rarer equipment is, the better it's supposed to be. I actually had to get that set notion out of my head when I started playing Defiance and really paying attention to the stats and rolls on things.

Thank you for your offer of assistance, but I already have my VBI TACC AR/ELMG and Ground Pounder that I use now. I also read over the guide, and it is very well written and informative. I set up a class based on the suggestions from it, and it does work magnificently.

However, if I could not plainly see people complaining about Volge Rifles being used, and still had a Volge Battle Rifle as my best weapon, I would be using it on the Warmaster. So I can understand why the scrubs are using them. People should try to put themselves into others shoes and picture their stance, before automatically terming them as bad players for an uninformed decision.

By all means, continue telling players that the Volge Rifles are bad to use. Go into the game and tell players on there. Spam it in chat if you feel like it. Spread the good word. But be respectful about it please, all who do. Remember the golden rule. Do unto others as you would have done unto yourself.

Totally agree the whole Game is RNG based, i have exactly the same experiences with the game as you had, i've finally gotten 3 Legendary weapons at 1800 EGO 2x BMG 1x FRC Heavy Carbine..

I only just started getting nice Volge Purples after DLC2, this whole this is easy to get isn't true, not everyone has the same luck at the terrible loot i'm in a small clan so i do not have the backing old timers get either.

I happened to be in a warmaster yesterday that got beaten after 70 or so attempts, i scored a blue and a green weapon and a grenade in my claims..

my friends and I have been having this discussion he went from putting up 2 mil to putting up 700k because he was trying to break armor using guns you listed. I myself told him its B.S. your score is proof don't believe the 500k club people saying they are breaking the armor and helping the team your score is proof of what you are doing.

I've seen the warmaster beat without even breaking his armor several times by good players.
