It's bad, another definite design fail just like with the people trying to help with BMGs but really being the scourge of the earth because they're hurting everyone around them.

I mean seriously, were these weapons meant to blind every other player around them? Remind me who actually checks and signs off on stuff like this?

    + "infinity plus one" lol

I don't even know where to start on this...

"Yes, let's make one of the worst weapons in the game blind everyone around them, but let's also make it the only healing weapon so that anyone who wants to play a heal or support-type role wil have to choose it and be hated by all muhahahahahahahaha!!!!"

I used a newly acquired Typhon-X-AR with 757 Damage, 7.3 Fire Rate and a controlled burst mod and that was really easy to get over a million for some one like me who can't always click so fast to to use a wolf hound or other burst weapon. Unlike the battle rifle that weapon actually does constant white damage any where from 500 - 1100 (depending on spikes, and ego) and it's a lot faster than the battle rifle. I can easily hit him on the ground and if I aim above his shoulder and not hit his wrist while hanging it will do a lot of white damage there too. I can also crit at 2000-4500 too when the shield is down.

I would like to use that but not constantly screw over everyone else too.
Ironclad, if that particular weapon is effective in doing the damage you need to help kill the Warmaster, then by all means, use it. Not everybody has been blessed with an epic Wolfhound with quadruple crit multipliers and epic mods.

It is true that visually it can be annoying, but we have all fought the WM countless times by now, to know where the weak points are in the arm.

You payed for the DLC, you are entitled to use what ever gear you get from your investment and play the game the way you feel most comfortable.

    Happy Hunting. : )

It's not just visually annoying. When enough players are using them the entire lower arm becomes engulfed in blue particle effects. It's not a matter of knowing where the weak points are in the arm. It's a matter of not knowing exactly where the arm is in the haze of blue light. Just so we're clear, I'm talking about when he is on the ground, not hanging from the wall. I agree that its a players choice to use it or not but let's at least let them make an informed choice.

To be honest with you, it's not the volge weapons that make tracking the WM on ground difficult, it's all the explosive and spike graphics that make him light up the way you say. But you are right, let them make the choice, and until they find something better, let's not berate them for trying.

Besides, if there is anybody you want to blame for your graphic difficulties, blame Trion, not the players.

Spikes graphics are avoidable by a side step or two, explosives last a second at a throw.

Volge weapons supply an oversized beam followed by an explosion on an automatic basis, meaning unlike the explosives you see, there is small delay between each explosion....

One person with a Volge weapon and it doesn't look too bad, but I once had the misfortune to have four Volge users at once...

I'd sooner watch two girls and one cup than four people in a major break with Volge weapons shooting at the same area...

And so you would rather deny people the chance to help kill the WM simply because of an annoyance.

Like I said, don't blame the player, blame Trion. We need to pester the devs to address this issue, without isolating the already small player base.

Maybe the players complaining about Volge Rifles and BMGs being used against the Warmaster, should hand out free crit roll Wolfhounds and Ground Pounders. Then everyone wins.

P.S. Don't take this too seriously. Unless, y'know, you really wanna do this and share that Christmas joy.

I just wish the weapons effect designers would learn from player feedback on the BMG and realize this wasn't the way to go with the visuals for impacts with the weapons. Instead of one step forward by toning down the BMG particle effect intensity...well you know....

    @Bane

i end up with atleast 4-5 blue wolfhounds each day. o.o thay get scraped. if it helped the noobs kill WM ill start giveing them away.

but watdch now that i have posted this. all the wolfhounds i get will stop appearing and ill get garbage insted

anyway. why even bother with the volge weapons when the splitshot and the surge bolter do 3 times the damage that the volge weapons do ? i mean seriusly , not to mention.

the drops dont matter on how much damage you can make . even the lowest damage person after beating him gets loot. the hole point is just KILLING him. its not like volge seige where you get a box for winning you all ways get a box on this guy

when you win though you get a roll on an OJ. thats the only thing he gives , :: shrug ::

but im 100% in agreement that the volge weapons are a waist of time. i dont care how much " crits " you get with it. or what the damage output is. the point of WM is to work as a team kill as a team and play as a team

your not out for your self here your out for every one.
