Name a civilian that gave his life for his country?

Gee I don't know, how about the whole ****ing American Revolution......
I used to be an eager Ark Hunter like you, then i took a "soon" to the ear.

agreed. the whole point to shadow war is to have the npc's added as a factor to consider when devising strategy.

I'm now inferring that you are a wee bit dense and didn't even see the link. News flash -- the moment you take up arms for or against a country, YOU ARE NO LONGER A CIVILIAN -- YOU ARE A MILITANT (ie, military, minutemen, militia, martial employee, volunteer soldier, etc). This is why it is impossible to be both a civilian, and a soldier. This is why the LINK, if you would have taken a fking moment to click, links to a gag gift with "Oxymoron: Civilian Soldier Mousepad". So, lets recap. You know the 3 percent of the American Revolution? WTF am I talking about, I'm likely arguing with someone who doesn't even know what 3 percent I'm referring to.

You've been completely shut out, sir. My recommendation would be to slither back to what ever treasonous hole you came from.

    Ok.... Back to the op.
How is it even possible, every encounter, emergency or event has a fixed range. It is not possible to go out and collect a huge train of npcs and drag them to a point. They would have hit the reset range and returned to their spawn point, pulling a few from one nearby place is possible, but not with the numbers or mix of races implied.

A developer is only as good as the last thing they released.
-Rift- was why i was willing to spend $160 pre-ordering the ultimate edition of Defiance a couple weeks before launch.
-Defiance- is why i won't buy another Trion title at full price if at all.

Wow. Mike Chone is still showing signs of belligerence and delusions in this thread. As a Veteran I can't just not say anything, and watch as you act out like this. Please go to the Veterans Administration to refill your medications. I think you may have ran out. If you do not currently take medication for your condition, please get evaluated. Just trying to help, but will probably be attacked by Mike Chone for saying this.

I would put a Vet on higher placement than you. You talk about if the time comes you would pick up arms. All Vets have done so and they deserve your respect. While you were playing video games, drinking, and doing whatever you want, thousands died wishing they were doing exactly what you were doing, but they chose to pick up arms in order for you to keep doing whatever you want. These soldiers were men and women who were husbands, wives, fathers, mothers, sisters, brothers, cousins, etc. So you can go on exclaiming that you would if the time is right, they have already have. I am proud to consider myself a veteran.

Now, for the OP, I agree that if someone who is not involved in the Shadow War is trying to influence the outcome of the game, that is cheating. Rather than a twelfth man on the field, it is fan sitting behind the coach relying the game plan. However, if it is being done by players of the Shadow War, then it is no different than destroying a dam above an enemy position.

    thumbs up at this...
    i think its hilarious.
and vets? QQ'n over enterprising gamers?
i guess they were lucky there wasnt constantly recurring spawns all over said "Bravo" this time.
we all have to deal with the locals, hand delivered or not.
im sure the "other team" struggled to dislodge u guys and i think there were few options left to them from what ive seen of the same tactics.
as far as exploits, its a pretty grey area in this game.
do we know if it was necessary for him to be OUT of the match to throw wildlife at you?
could have just been a WISER gamer lending a hand to his mates.
nut up guys, your periods may attract bears as well.
