Mission overview: what could we have done differently to minimize the effect?

answer: changed your position to a diamond formation aproximately 20 meters apart; locating higher ground for left and right point man. switched loadout to utilize groundpounders clusters as secondary weapons (kills hellbugs almost instantly btw), waited for enemy approach, blasting all PVE mobs with efficiency and returning to the fight while maintaining cover fire from center man and front/rear guard.

wouldnt this be an effective alternative to simply sitting clustered together..personaly Im suprised the other team didnt simply navigate a 2 man team around you, drop pounders on you and drive you out of the position in the first place while keeping you destracted from the front with smgs.
Who said we were clustered together? ..... I'm sure you got that from the mobs flushing us all out, but I assure you, if the guy drags the mobs, systematically over each of your team mates, then scoots out of the area, they give up chase on him and then come back in the order they saw you and start attacking... One . by . one . And the thing is, that's what they wanted.. They wanted us to jump out, because they were petrified (as it seemed) to come down the hill after us. So they needed to see exactly where we were so as soon as the mobs came in, one of our guys starts shooting, and rolls out of the way of the mob, and snap... He's dead... then the mobs run over to the 2nd guy... roll, snap. Then me, roll snap... At this point, our wild card sees what's going on, and falls back a ways, with mobs in chase... We roll over the mobs with a quick re-group, and drive the other 8 guys back out of B and up the hill again, take new positions to have the same d0uchebag come back in with another group of mobs, systematically (while in new positions) running across each one of us, and scooting out.

There is not much adapting you can do in this scenario, when the other group on your team is so poor, that they can obviously loose to the respawns from the random kills we make from guys getting cocky and running down the hill. And we were obviously the targets they wanted and why they tried so hard to take us out when A was obviously so much easier, is a complex theory. So, our choice was rather limited in what we "could" do with 4 vs 8 -- excuse me, 4 vs 8+1blue. Yeah, I'm sure the other team would have just loved for us to pop out and start dancing around. In fact that's what their entire intentions was when they had the blue go and grab the mobs. So tell me how moving around was anything but counter-productive.

The point is, they couldn't navigate anything. They were in complete lockdown around us, and had to use a blue player to subvert it.

I never said anything about moving around, I said reposition your forces to be more effective in dealing with the threat. By changing your position and loadout to compensate for the intrusion you can maximize your effectiveness and minimize the enemies tactical advantage.
Every good leader knows you must be willing to alter your plan of attack to compensate for unforeseen events on the battlefield.
after the first attack from the outside player, a lookout, some simple repositioning would of nullified his effects. you can use this as a learning experience, prepare for it in the future, and have more effective coverage as a result.

I actually agree with you, using an outside agent to monitor and disrupt the event is well, bull shyt tactics.. Use it, Learn from it, Adapt and Overcome.
you won right? next time you see that clan in SW slaughter them, make them know your name. simple as that.

When you played in Defiance your opponent killed the children in the game? No? Why more of these lengthy discourse? Let's empty without philosophizing.

And if you take the real world, thanks to Wikileaks we know how accurate your army kills civilians during military operations. Hundreds and thousands of innocent victims.

Sportsmanship, honor, logic, intelligence - These are all just words to "gamers" these days. You would think someone wouldn't have to hold people's hand and explain in detail how tactics like these undermine the spirit & point of PvP, but you would be surprised. Half of them can't even begin to understand the "slippery-slope" that approving of these tactics could lead to.

Name a nation that has never killed a civilian. You can't can you? Name a country and I bet that at some point in their history, killing civilians was a part of their war tactics. I bet whatever country you're from has to blood of innocents on it's hands too. Don't come in here with all that hypocritical "blame game" non-sense.

    You're right.
Just don't need to boast that "your" army exclusively white and fluffy, like trying to make the person I quoted.

I love the pvp posts around here. They're always good for a laugh. I also think it's funny when people like to throw out that they're ex-military. Like we're all suppose to read that and think, "Oh man this guys an army vet he must be really good.", and the key word always being "ex".

Sounds kinda like straping bombs to civilians and walking up to soldiers.

And when they say "We're Army vets so we do what we do best.", I'm thinking that's what? Murdering civilians because they look different from you and pillaging other peoples countries. And then what? You come home and do nothing but get in bar fights and talk trash to everyone because you think you can do whatever you want because you're a vet.
