Re-set Weapon Mastery

Hello,

Can anyone tell me if I re-set a weapon after mastering it, does the master bonus change? Or is it hard set from the first time you master it?

The only thing it does is reset the XP bar. This is good for when you are leveling up a weapon class and dont want to switch weapons because you like the weapon you are using so much. I did this for the Infector weapon class. I had a canker i loved so much i used it from around level 5 or 6 all the way to level 20 of infectors. It gets pricey after a while but thats the price you pay for leveling up that class while making it enjoyable instead of unbearable.

We had a CM say on a few occasions that resetting the exp bar had a small chance of resetting the mastery, but given that he said a lot of things that were inaccurate or just completely untrue, it was taken with a grain of salt. After resetting a tachmag like 500 times it was safe to assume he once again had no idea what he was talking about. We never had any clarification on why he said what he did or if the ever planned on actually making what he said true.
