Carried to it's conclusion:
None of us should have bought the game for the 1st 8 months it was out, until it went F2P, and the whole dev team had been fired for lack of income all that time.

Somehow, I don't think that works to our advantage.

Your plan only tends to work for the few who let others pick up the check for them.

On the contrary, if people had done this the first time such business practices first emerged, only a hand full of companies would have gone belly up. The other ones would have seen that putting out a broken product doesn't get them anything and deduced that they better perform better.

It would work even today. Sure, lots of more companies would go bankrupt initially, but all the others would probably delay their crap another couple of months.
