No one chat`s?

Is it almost no one that use the chat at all?
I have been playing for about 3 hours and i have seen 2 people writing in the chat?

The chat system is awful. I guess no one bothers with it.

<sigh> That was the problem in beta. You see the problem is that when you type in the chat box, nobody can read it, unless they have clicked in the chat box themselves. This means that trying to communcate with people is pointless, as the chances are that when they are busy playing the game, they don't know you have even tried to communicate with them. What were Trion thinking?

I'd say between 30-50m. So far I seem to be the only one attempting to use area chat

"Pointless to try and chat with a controller. No need for a proper chat system." Would be my guess.

That explains it. lol wow.

Is it the same for group/clan chat? Nobody sees it unless they have clicked in the chat window and do nothing else?

They were probably thinking we've gotten to the point where everyone is willing and able to voice chat with each other. Unfortunately they didn't realize that there's always going to be a need for a solid keyboard chat system in a game like this, if for no other reason than to support those players who are hearing-impaired.

So what you are saying is that this so far is not an MMO? :P
Or an MMO without chatting.
