Prior to the latest patch and followup hotpatch I could expect to get at least 1 purple out of every two tier 3 boxes... now I get nothing but blues and every so often the rare purple.
I'm new, so I've only gotten 1 orange (a POS shotgun) out of any boxes, and I've never seen an orange drop - I simply can't dish out enough damage so I'll never be close enough to the top of the scoreboard to have a chance at purple rewards, much less orange.
Yep... they've borked the drops so massively even a newb can see it.
But now you can do something about those pesky oj drop rates!

im on a 5 day dry spell but have gone weeks without a pull
Its all RNG i got one last night with 72 keys i'd saved in a T3, its all just luck, personally just do 4-5 T3 boxes a day and don't waste your salvage in one hit..
If you get nothing in 4-5 STOP and wait 24 hours RNG is just like that..
The problem with the 'store' is it doesn't tell you **** about the items. You click on 'Loot ego boost' and ... nothing anywhere says how much the boost is or for how long it'll last.
Same goes for the 'Syngery Mod Hoard' (the graphic is purple - does that mean the entire set is thus? Doubt it). Jackpot Lock Bos is also purple, with orange text... gotta know I'd only see green/blue outta that thing if I wanted to waste my $$$ on it (which I don't. This era of microtransactions is the ruin of games).
Looking at the rates... The 'synergy mod hoard' costs $7 or more, almost as much as a full DLC! And it's totally random (and thus 98% pure crap).
OK, they don't want it to fail.
Hypothetically, what would be the least blatant, least obvious to the casual observer, kinds of things they could do if they were trying to make it fail?
