I, too, bought this in hopes that perhaps it'd turn white drops into green drops and greens to blues etc

but all it did was make the loot table run more often, so now I'm drowning in more white sh** than a $2 hooker

Which can still be broken down, so you purchased an increase to salvage mostly, with a small chance of getting something good.

That isn't creative use of language then. It is straight up lying.
It didn't say "want more loot?" it said "want better loot?"
It also said "increase the rarity of your loot".
Either way I do not find it surprising.
    1.05 shotgun mag boost? REALLY?

something rare, unusual, or uncommon: Snowstorms are a rarity in the South.
    2.
something esteemed or interesting in being rare, uncommon, or curious: That folio is a rarity that will bring a good price.
    3.
the state or quality of being rare.
    4.
rare occurrence; infrequency: Volcanic eruptions on the island occur with great rarity.
    5.
    unusual excellence.

They are using it as #4 and not #3

You're only half right. There are two types of loot boosts. One increases the frequency, the other increases the rarity. This discussion is about the rarity. By definition, a higher rarity is better. So the OPs concerns are warranted especially after they introduced the mod boxes for tier 4 mods in the pay store.

Is it better to out-monster the monster or to be quietly devoured?

If they were using #4 as a definition then the drops would become MORE rare.

"Increase the rarity of your loot" would mean "Make Loot drop much less often" if #4 were their intended definition. And who would pay for that?

I'm looking at the store right now. It shows LOOT, REP, SCRIP, SKILL, and XP boosts... that's it on mine.

Gosh my bad Overtkill... you are right... they are using it as #5.

Sorry, I thought they left the old loot on there. They changed the frequency of drops to rarity, so the OP's point still stands. You're paying for better drops. Which is curious after the ninja change to warmaster drops. Unless it's still the same as the last loot boost which was just for the frequency of drops, in that case it's not a clever play on words, it's false advertising.

Okay dokey... I know a losing battle when I see one.

Believe me if you want to, or don't.

It makes no difference to me really... I am just trying to help people understand.

Someone who has already purchased it, has come into the thread to explain further, but has been ignored... okay dokey.

Should it have said, increase the frequency... probably...
