This is my problem. This is/was my favorite game and I would seriously doubt that anyone but a handful of people have more hours playing this game then I do, if that. However Trion has repeatedly shown that they will not address or fix any problems unless you bash them over the head with it. I hate being so negative all the time, but they do it to themselves. If they would admit to bugs and problems and at least say it's on the list to get fixed, that would alleviate a lot of the negativity. The constant denial and act of surprise anytime we mention an obvious problem is beyond frustrating.

Right before a walk-thru, he'd take his framing hammer and blow a hole in the master bedroom closet wall, and loosen up the screws on a few doorknobs and hinges. He liked to loosen the screws on a few lightswitches, and re-adjust them so they were a few degrees out of plumb.

During the client walk-thru, those items would show up on a list of about 20 items.

If he didn't do those things, we still got a list of about 20 items.

In the olden dayes, this would have been known as a 'Parable'.
    These are just my opinions.
    I have lots of opinions.
Some of them, on occasion, people have agreed with.
I do not trust those people.

Word. I went without internet for 6 months, and raptr still says I'm only 2694 hours from number one on xbox... We all want the game to succeed, but if we don't complain about the serious problems with the game, they'll keep releasing more half-baked new stuff (arenas, stims, spikes) without fixing problems that have been around since day one... or worse break the game further with terrible ideas like this grenade mess.
I totally wrote the first Defiance filk:

Also, I used to recruit for the Anarcho-Syndicalist Revolutionary Union <ASRU Ark Hunters> (on 360 NA), but no one was interested, and I don't know if I'll ever bother playing again.

My answer is simple. I could give two ****s about Trion. I don't like them, I don't hate them. They simply make my #1 preferred game to play.

I care about Defiance, I don't care about Trion.
I care about seeing this game reach its full potential.
I care about seeing the bugs, and problems fixed.
I will do whatever the situation calls for.
If I have to attack Trion, so be it. I would much rather just pat them on the back and say great job.

I challenge many of you to look at your own actions, and decide, is this what is best for the game in the end? Am I actually helping, or am I causing further damage by creating this message?

@ Trion - I have not had my car despawn in days, and I cannot get it to do so. It has to be something with the way the loadouts are setup... gut feeling.
I have to agree with you, I've been playing since launch day, and pre-ordered the ultimate edition ($160) and played the closed Beta. I can see the potential of this game, and by potential I mean in its current build if it worked as intended, and this has ALWAYS been the case.
If I were to go over my forum history, the first few hundred posts were "fan" posts defending Trion and the game, but over the past 10 months (Apx.) my attitude has shifted to very negative. I'm at the point now where I give up, taking a break from the game and using the forums out of habit and boredom, I do hope they can fix the game but with the recent failures in such a small repair patch 1.206, I give up.

A developer is only as good as the last thing they released.
-Rift- was why i was willing to spend $160 pre-ordering the ultimate edition of Defiance a couple weeks before launch.
-Defiance- is why i won't buy another Trion title at full price if at all.

That's not a bad deal really.
On topic,I care about all the things you mentioned Mack. This is my favorite game and I would like top see it become what many of us know it could be, but it is exquisitely frustrating to the point of exasperation seeing and hearing the representatives of this game act in ways that prove time and again that they do not know the game, or care to listen to those that do.
You are right that childish anger and sarcasm will not further the cause of seeing the game succeed.
So where to go when that is pretty much all there is inside to express?
    I suppose somewhere else.
I hope you don't mind that I'm using some of your post for my sig.
I think it's a good thing to look at before I post in the future.
Not sayin I'll be any less full of shtacko in the future. I have my legacy to live up to after all but who knows?
    1.05 shotgun mag boost? REALLY?
PC/NA&EU, too many toons to list.

You'd be surprised how true it is, I don't know what your version of it is called in the US but in the UK we have a thing called an MOT for vehicles, it's to make sure they are safe and road worthy.
Well when you take your vehicle to be tested it's always best to leave a couple of simple things to fix so they have something to write on the form.

otoh, I do not in any way feel that, considering the enthusiasm they show for getting stuff fixed spontaneously and in a reasonable time frame without a certain amount of player-based allusion to torches and pitchforks, we'd be where we are now, stability-wise.

Run that one by our PS/XboX brothers and sisters, and see who salutes.
XBox here... and they don't get recognized for doing stuff right because the stuff they get right (eventually) is both massively overshadowed by all of the crap they get wrong and the fact that the stuff they get right is exactly how it should be, especially for a company that isn't new to this type of game!

A baby takes it's first steps or uses the bathroom on their own... we go, "Oh, great job! Atta'boy!" We do this because they are new to it and accomplished something big. When you are 40 years old, does anyone congratulate you on walking anywhere or "getting it in the toilet?" Nope, if anything, you get yelled at for leaving the seat up, not replacing the TP roll, etc. See where I'm going with this?
Can we PLEASE have unique icons for Spikes and Stims??? Every other item has them and my memory isn't good enough without them...

Never heard of the MOT before, but in the USA we have a Car Fox.
