As you will see around 1500 EGO, there is no more progress. You will have run all of the instances, missions, main missions, and episodes. Next weekend people will be looking for what to do, and this will come to be if things stay the same.

    Again, the issue is progression.
aside from the fact that there are already 5 confirmed DLC to come out this year which include more missions, etc. Also it's a game based off the story of a TV series, who's to say they won't patch in weekly updates to follow the show with missions?

you also have PvP in both shadow wars AND battlegrounds, than there are arkfalls to do. So you play this game to get a shiny gun that does 5k more damage than a new player for what? if you have a more powerful gun there's still the same amount of content to play through. I'll assume people just need the comfort of knowing once there ego capped there incapable of dieing like in every other MMO lawl.

Time to give up on gear progression and realize you need to get some skill to survive in this game, developers can't stand by holding your hands forever :P

As everyone has told you, weapons get better as you gain ego rating. How dumb are some of you people to not understand why they'd make the base damages differ by huge numbers... than players who want to play together [B]NEED[B] to have the same ego rating, a bunch of no skill scrubs would run around killing arkfalls like nothing for massive amounts of scrip or any other resource, and they'd actually have to put more funding into making PvP bracketed by levels-_- because apparently people don't understand that a PvP system with brackets means a PvP system with Ques. I'm not a idiot, i've played WoW and every other gear progression MMO for over 10 years now (not WoW obviously) and there are always PvP arenas that are empty, or have 4 hour long Ques, where as games with no brackets for levels everything is practically instant Que -_-

Talk about one of the stupidest complaints yet.
Calling people dumb and stupid shows how weak your argument is. The idea that progression does not exist because PvP queues would have brackets is a ridiculous argument. We should all just have the same gear and EGO points then and base the whole thing off player skill alone?

This game is not a PvP based game. PvP was just thrown in there if anything. This argument was brought up a few times and crashed and burned.. a bit like those arguments that have "Your stupid!!" in them..

As someone who loves PvE ill admit that the lack of a steady jump in damage will be dissappointing; however, I love being challenged to actually think and strategize about weapons stats/mods + perks. I forsee a lot respecing in my future =]

If weapon damaged scaled like some of you want this is what would happen.

player a reachers 2000-3000 range gets much superior items and joined a team deathmatch.

player b is kinda new rank 150 joins same deathmatch.

player a keeps killing player b over and over due too a total item dominance.

player b quits playing deathmatch cause there is no way too beat the steep grade of advantage of the superior gear.

now player b has two options.. grind out in PvE content till he reaches same range(which means player a would already be towards maxed out gear) too try again, or quit PvP.

Now if player b enjoys PvP the most and wont be able too match up then he will end up getting bored with the lack of fair competitive play and quit. Then due too lack of competition due too lack of people queing for deathmatch due too all the ones at the top having dominance, player a either has too wait extended times for matches due too the smaller number of people queing or quit as well.

This is a online FPS. you have too understand that you cant just add all the mmorpg elements like this. If Call of duty had this kinda scaling on weapons then the game would fail as well, due too the people who play 12+ hours a day would have such an unfair advantage on top of the advantage of practicing more that new players that didn't start at release wouldn't have a chance.

This is why borderlands didn't have much in the seance of competitive play. The first few with bee shields and conference call shotguns would own everyone els too the point its either farm for the two items to be on par or not do competitive.

This is also why you don't gain more health on ranking up and why shields don't get much better. It would be nothing but the higher levels picking on lower levels.

The way it it now, the game will never be too easy or hard. progression is small for the most part but its there, and with a system like this is makes every little bit of progression you do in fact get all the more important. it comes down too planning out your mods, weapons and style of play and using tactics and the skills and perks you get too their benefit too get a leg up. why are people so afraid of a game that will never get real easy?

Wow, 5k more damage huh? I guess that is what we asked for.

Not sure if you were in alpha or not, but you would know what happened to the population after ONE week. Tell me what the instances, shadow war zones, and the zones at the end looked like? Are we allowed to discuss everything in Alpha now I assume?

Why do you guys even need more damaging gear? So you can kill enemies with more health? Why do you need higher shields? So enemies who do an arbitrarily number of damage to you dont kill you? if the pattern stays consistent, you wont need those things, you progress based on your skill and style alone.

PvP was just thrown in?..... you seem to be the wisest of the players here, lets all listen to you, because apparently a TPS developers last concern is having competitive multiplayer, i forgot everyone came here to do the same 6 arkfalls every day. PvP pft.
(before you cry i know the games main focus is the lore and connection to the TV show, that is the main reason i even gained interest in this game, doesn't change the fact that any shooters main concern, or MMO for that matter is competitive multiplayer. you know, that's probably why sponsored guilds in WoW do arenas and PvP, and the non sponsored ones do PvE server firsts.)

i'm assuming your opinion on this topic is to allow over powered weapon progression that ruins weapon balancing so you can do PvE much easier and you don't mind if the PvP is broken for the rest of the community? and you're the one being condescending?

and you say give everyone everything from the start if they are the same level? why do you even speak. everyone is the same "level" meaning a ego rating of 40 can show up in PvP fighting an ego rating of 5000, the only differance is that player that invested the time into the progression will have much better perks, mods, weapon effects. So what you want is if weapons don't do more damage you think everyone should just gain every benefit for no reason? do you even see how amazingly helpful some of the perks are alone.. i'm assuming you've played cod before? so why not call EA and ask why you need to work towards leveling up your weapons for addons such as silencers, extended magazines and such.

your entire statement was nothing but rubbish, and that's coming from the person who's opinion is obviously incorrect when yours is clearly 100% refutable.
