    DPS on WM

I was hoping to get an idea of what overall damage a character @ ~ ego 1000 should be able to dish out on the WM. Considering if they follow the guides?

    thanks

The best thing to do is just compare yourself to other players in your instance with the score screen at the end, damage in total will range for most encounters and I believe damage done on the other enemies in the encounter also count, but if you are near the top of your list you are doing well.

    EGO means nothing.

    Will is everything.

...oh and gear, really good gear (I wonder why Ra's Al Ghul left that part out)

Honestly you should try and shoot for 1 million(Should be seeing one million+ once you get decent guns/mods). I use a wolfhound once the shield is broken and caspian springer until then(both radiation). use damage boost wisely and try not to die. Focus fire the right arm too. Good luck.

I can break a million on a 200 ego character with a extra life thunder and a blue wolfhound with crit. I just die more to having less perks.

Is it better to out-monster the monster or to be quietly devoured?

Focusing on damage rather than doing the right thing is counterproductive. Some players are inflating their damage with Ground Pounders, Clusterdrops and Volge Cold-Fire weapons and some of the strategies suggested in forum thread guides actually encourage/advocate this. (One ignorant player actually bragged in PC NA area chat about getting the high score in a failed Major Arkbreak even though all he did was use a Clusterdrop.)

If too many players are using the aforementioned weapons to inflate their damage while you'e doing the right thing by focusing on the armor in a specific area (right arm on PC NA) with a high white DPS weapon until the armor breaks and then a high critical DPS gun after it breaks, you're damage total can end up being pretty low because most of the damage comes after the armor breaks from critical DPS and the armor will either not break or break very late in the fight (and the Warmaster will escape), but you shouldn't let that discourage you from being consistent and sticking with a proper loadout and combat strategy.

Sorry but I'm fed up with misleading posts like this, you can beat him without breaking the crystals, it's been done.

Guys whatever you use you have to get about 1 mill dmg. Then you may see some more ojs in your back packs.

Bought it during the extra life event. Bought a set for each character I have.
A regular thunder will work fine. I prefer the thunder because it's more accurate though a good saw would work too.

Sorry, but just because it's been done doesn't mean it's efficient or that using those weapons makes sense in most situations at Major Arkbreaks. For that to happen almost everyone has to be using explosive damage to bypass the armor, and for explosive damage to otherwise contribute efficiently in large group that's breaking the armor there needs to be enough players that are efficient at breaking the armor and enough players that are using explosive damage to do significant damage to health before the armor breaks like in the first Xbox kill video posted in this forum.

Even though I believe players when they say it's been done without breaking the armor, I've never read anyone mentioning how many players were needed to do it or how fast it can be done. In the aforementioned video there's a little over 30 seconds left and there was some heavy hitting going on with Wolfhounds and other high crit DPS weapons with a full group of 24 players. If you can take down the Warmaster with only 8 players like PC EU does or take him down with over 2 minutes to spare in a larger group then perhaps an argument can be made that the method is as efficient and reliable.

Regardless, if you're one of only a half a dozen or fewer players in a group of 20-24 players using explosive damage at a Major Arkbreak, you're simply inflating your score with no correlation to how much you're helping the group to kill the Warmaster, and more often than not that's how it breaks down in PUGs on PC NA. If the OP were in a group or clan that's coordinated well enough to employ a successful bypass armor strategy it's somewhat improbable that he would be posting here asking for guidance on what kind of numbers he should be pulling down for a Warmaster kill.
