... the problem is that a lot of people like myself are haunting the forums waiting for an announcement that voice chat has been fixed BEFORE purchasing the game. Others have bought the game but still have it wrapped and sitting with the receipt ready to return it if voice chat isn't working. The devs need to address this directly and let us know if voice chat is being worked on or if this is it... that we're going to have a crappy, barely functional form of voice chat on the PS3 and there' s nothing they can do about it.
... at least then we can make a decision as to whether the game is worth it for single player campaign alone... because the multiplayer portions of the game will very quickly die without proper voice chat and will be used only by very small groups that use skype or some other form of voice chat for the game.
Personally if I don't see an announcement fairly soon regarding voice chat being fixed and working properly, I'll move on and go buy Bioshock instead. I'll wait till this game hits the bargain bin and then pick up a copy six months down the road for the single player portion of the game at a greatly reduced price.
It's not unreasonable to expect a $60.00 game to work properly (particularly voice chat in an MMO). This fix should have been their number 1 priority.
