New Chat the Worst Yet

I was happy with the previous chat window. They finally got private chat invites to work with their own tabs, if you were parked you could leave the window up and watch a good amount of the conversation, and you had a nice long space to type in. Now thanks to DLC3 we get

Improvements:
You can scroll back up in chat and as new chat arrives it doesn't reset you to the bottom

Regressions:
Private chat appears to only be for voice now
Have to use settings to configure tabs
Limited to 4 tabs
Much smaller window
Window goes away when you enter your message
Tabs have fixed names so if you want to customize what goes where you have to remember what tab shows what
Where are emotes?

Status Quo:
Still can't set voice chat to go out headset while the rest of the sounds go out speakers (PC only)
Still can't highlight text or click links

Whatever "fixes" regarding posts being lost or whatever "magic" testers on the PTS helped them "solve" could have been applied to the previous chat.

This one is a disaster.

Discouraging... And I seemed to just finally get used to how the chat was from first time they messed with it.

settings are broken. while private chat are still there - you cant SELECT it. only /w {username}.
and you CAN change tab names, there's rename button at bottom when you select Tab X in settings

that's one of most annoing things so far for me. i can't just copy-paste if i went wrong channel (clan/area instead of zone f.e.)

not as much as i've expected. at least it doesn't lag for ages

You can change the names of the tabs just like you can with your loadouts.

As long as this keeps working, this chat is better. They need to bring back the full chat window though. Getting rid of it completely was a dumb move. Still need item linking and right clicking the chat for it to be great, as it is it's a mediocre chat window that should've been there at launch. Also needs more tabs. They need to bring back the emote button.

Trick said that it would put you in the chat for warmaster by default but it doesn't. Unless you set your main window to see team, you won't be able to talk. Most people don't even know that team chat is for the warmaster. This is the only gripe I really have because communication during the warmaster is still terrible.

I don't get any indication of how to rename chat tabs. I get two buttons at the bottom, Exit and Reset.

I don't see how this chat is better in any way Arsenic, care to give one example beyond the one I listed and would happily give up to get the last iteration of chat back? I listed plenty of ways it's worse...

You have to go under the chat settings to rename the tabs.
