Also when somone chats and the window becomes bigger you have to press left on D pad then press B to exit it, for it to pop up again 1 seconds later.... and you cant just press enter and start typing.. >=[

My enter to chat is working, but we are different platforms.
I dunno...chat seems alright to me. It would be nice to have a voice function in this game---I see people posting about it---but we PC users don't get voice chat. Must be a console thing. I like that it doesn't take over my screen like it used to.

Yes, X is just for the voice chat options up by the mini-map.
To change text chat channels hit enter, left then up or down to choose active channel. Your text always appears white while typing so you have to pay attention to the channel name to the left of the entry box. On a controller hit left on d-pad to start text entry mode then left again to change channels.
As for you duction what is your chat fade set at? At maximum the window stays up, but the setting appears to affect the number of lines displayed as well as how long before they fade. Setting it to the lowest value means you never see chat unless you bring up the window so just a little above that should solve your problem.
I seen it loads, happens when bring up menu to change loadouts etc.
Just literally went through every menu, it's working fine.
