It worked fine for me as well. Zero loss of chat text. At least we now will know that players at Major Arkbreaks can see team chat so breaking the locks out of ignorance shouldn't be as much of a problem.

The problem with that is you can't click team chat to auto type, you can't see team chat unless you actually set up your tab to show it. Trick said it would've been on by default and automatically put you in the chat but it doesn't. Plus the actual team button is greyed out.Originally Posted by Deunan

Isn't it on (for viewing) by default in the All tab? I thought it was because one new player at a Major Arkbreak tonight asked how he or she could type in team chat inside the Warmaster chamber presumably after seeing some of us doing it.

It's not. What's even funnier, the default team tab doesn't have it enabled either.
They most likely opened their window because the small chat window when you open up the map has all of the tabs on by default, so team shows up there.

Seeing a ton of chat getting clipped and private messages not showing up.
Pc might be fine, but PS3 is f'd.

A developer is only as good as the last thing they released.
-Rift- was why i was willing to spend $160 pre-ordering the ultimate edition of Defiance a couple weeks before launch.
-Defiance- is why i won't buy another Trion title at full price if at all.
For the most part, the new chat is a much needed improvement. It finally feels and works a lot like most MMO chats. I can chat on the fly, while shooting things and have others see it and reply.
Except when driving, because text chatting and driving is dangerous.

Yeah, PS3 isn't behaving the same way as PC. It wasn't showing a lot of chat unless I went in and changed the duration slider bar. Then it would show up for a little bit, then I'd have to go back in and move the slider again. Weird.
PC was fine....except for the whole, /team thing....
Chat seems fine my end, whispers need to be typed /t name sentence and /r sentence to respond...
Adding it as part of a DLC, yeah really weak that.....
