Cant advance quests

New player here, just patched the game and now I'm struggling accepting quests. I press X and nothing, I just stand there.

Any way around this?

I am very sorry to hear you are experiencing issues wit missions. If you are still struggling to accept new missions, please try the troubleshooting steps for the PS3 listed on this page.

If that doesn't improve the situation, please report this as a bug in game following these steps.

Also, update this thread to let me know. I will pass along this issue to the team so we can look into it, but your in game bug report will provide vital information to resolving this.

I've actually been having the same problem since February 13, 2014, it's really irritating. Whenever the accept/decline mission screen comes up, it won't let me accept or decline...in fact I can't do anything because none of the controls respond at that point and I'm just stuck standing there until my character is killed or I turn off Defiance. I submitted 2 tickets about it, but still nothing
