Decided to come back to defiance after a long break

And i am having trouble connecting. I am able to login but when it connects to the server i get the "critical" Defiance servers are unavailable. I recently got an xbox one and had to open my ports to make sure my NAT was open(not strict).

I noticed that defiance shares one of the ports with xbox one the 80 port. Will this cause this error to pop up?

Also what is the destination IP to forward the ports to.

    I am playing on NA-PC.

Would like to check this game out and all but this is becoming very frustrating.

    Thanks.

I could suggest a bunch of things to try... but sending you here would be much quicker for both of us.

Went through all of that. Opened the ports. I am just not sure what to put for the destination IP. I am using a linksys router if that helps.

Not sure if I am understanding the OP exactly right but... you can use 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 as DNS servers (Google DNS).

Port forwarding is different than opening the ports. Support should be able to help you with this more than I.

Ok, so I connected my computer directly to my modem and i am still getting the same problem. I have disabled my firewall as well.

    What else can I do?

Contact support. I know it's frustrating. I was going to tell you in the first place, you really shouldn't have to open ports etc...

Probably nothing to do with your ports, I had same issue several months ago, critical error nonstop, despite my home network not changing at all, 2 minutes on support live chat and they fixed it. Was nothing to do with me, someting on Trion end.

Definitely shouldn't be the ports. I have Defiance on four devices (2 PCs, Xbox 360 and PS3) all connected to the same Linksys Wireless-N Router (though all devices are wired). The PC version never has connectivity issue like you're describing though I've been booted from the consoles numerous times with timout errors. I have done no port forwarding or any other router changes to play the game.

Do you have UPnP turned on? I know not having it one can cause issues with things...

Exactly, it could be UPNP not working correctly, coming from the machine itself... I was going to let support handle it tho.
