3rd "DLC" lack of content

It shouldn't be called DLC at all, it's basicly an event, hell, the plague event had more content than this DLC. It's just a few new contracts and some reskinned weapons, and a set of armor. The Volge update that was free had more stuff.
The Contracts are events only pop up every so often and you only have time to pick one of them at a time to complete since they all pop up at once, and not one here and there (imo would be better). Two I have done didn't even register as completed for the contracts.
Don't get me wrong.. I love Defiance (Game and Show), but this just makes me sick that it's part of the DLC for the season pass and $9 for those without one.
Maybe the new players will get something out of it since there is a lot other stuff to do while you wait for these events to happen, but for me (when you've played the story over and over again and completed 90% of everything) it's just a waste of time waiting.

I love Defiance, and never wrote a bad review or post before, but.. I have draw the line somewhere, and this is where it is.

You know, just about every other company out there that screwed over their community and customers this much would do something to make it right, if even a step in the "right" direction...

For some reason, I see nothing coming from the Defiance team to say how apologetic they are for the let down, lackluster content that they call a "DLC" and the rest of the world calls a "patch."

The bolded parts show you what you need to know. They are going to do the bare minimum that they can to keep the game afloat. I believe they (the Defiance team) know they are just riding this until Trove comes out (or some other thing that they can fully divert their monies/energies/times into).

ok. so before i spend the money --- are any of the weapons good enough to waste my time or not ? or are they just reskinned weapons like the last two dlc's ?

i did an incursion last night, and it gave me a 7th legion weapon, but it didnt look all that impressive.

The problem is people want an "expansion" for $10...here is the sad facts people,$10 isnt worth much these days.All companies exsist to make money and you cant pay a group of programmers $60k+ a year and make an "expansion" for $10.Specially with a meager player base,personally i think the changes and additions in DLC 3 are worth just that...10 bucks...you get what you pay for,and i dont expect the world for 10 bucks.All 5 DLC together might be an expansion if they were released at one time,but these are not really cheap expansions people..they are glorified patches and just that.

For the sake of argument, how many 60K programmers does it take to spend 10 months writing a chat client for an MMO before finally getting a version people don't want to storm the castle with pitchforks and torches over?

And is the chat client the only thing they did for that 10 months?

Bonus question:
If it's not all they did for that 10 months, why didn't they devote adequate full time staff to do it as the sole project for however long it took at the beginning of the 'issue' of bad chat function, when they had that player base that spent $60/$120/$180 in good faith and expected a working product?

This is a blatant attempt to avoid a class action suit for not meeting their contractual obligation to provide 5 DLCs by April 2014. They don't care about customer satisfaction, that is clear. This is worse than a free patch, and they have the nerve to charge for it. I have been a die hard player since April last year when the game came out. I was one of the saps that were talked into buying the season pass thinking it would be a good value as I saw the potential this game had. Its too bad. I have lost any hope for this game. It may be time for me to throw in the towel. Playing games is supposed to be for entertainment and joy. I am at the point where the frustration and disappointment is more than the entertainment. Trion...1 more customer lost today. Not like you care.
