New Chat System

Is anyone else having issues with the new chat system? Here are some of mine:

• Messages disappear upon entering menu and fail to reappear
• Chat History randomly resets, or disappears
• Chat History jumps around (IE: one instance its displays accurate history but after time or menu change it displays chat history from a different period)
• People do not see my messages (random)
• I do not see Other Peoples messages (random)

This is sort of rendering the chat system unusable. I know we are notorious for a lack of communication here in the console world but those of us whom use it heavily within group, clan and zone (for trading) are screwed. I know my clan has experienced these issues heavily. We are considering setting up an external chat solution to work around it but it isn't right that we should have to do so.

If anyone is experiencing issues with the new in game chat features for Defiance, we hope they can help us by reporting this in game using the in game bug report system.

The more information we receive from players, the better.

I personally have but I will advise everyone I know to do so. I feel many people have lost faith in the bug report and feedback options. On top of that rallying the console community on the forum is rather difficult.

The new chat can be a little confusing. Try these things, a friend who played on the PTS helped me figure it out, maybe it can help you out too.

- You will want to increase your chat duration if you haven't. I have mine at about 60 to 70 percent, not too long, but long enough to see everything.

- On one tab turn all of your chat filters on. And on the second tab just leave your basic chat on that you use. This way you won't miss anything. It should all still be there.
