I have 'Duel Requests' turned off in settings.

So why was I being followed around Mt Tam by some guy this morning issuing duel requests?

I finally had to port elsewhere to get him to stop.
I'm a mid 700 char, and he was in the upper 2,xxx's. I felt like I was having sand kicked in my face at the beach.

Why do they even put settings on the menu if they aren't actually setting anything?

It's like the 'close door' button on the elevator, or the 'push to walk' button at a crosswalk.
Many of them aren't connected to the wiring harness, but it makes people feel better about being able to make time management decisions.

Settings in general seem to behave randomly and reset themselves 'whenever'. I've changed a setting(s), closed the window, reopened the window and the settings can be randomized again.

Ego doesnt have that much to do with it, but tactics. im 2700 and have beaten plenty of 5000, and lost to lvl 500 as well. personally i get i duel invite, i duel. i dont care what they use, i use my Blur,Brawler,Sword combo wins about 60-70% of duels. ones i lose are people who use infectors as they require minimal skill

My settings revert back to default after EVERY patch, so you may have to double-check them.
