    I had to double check the one I had to see. I got the Semi-Auto version, so at first I thought the OP was mistaken, but yup, OP got lucky with that one. Here's mine with the stats and everything for comparison. Nice find Animal, I'm jealous

    First one is probably just an oversight. Maybe they could rename the full auto Frontier Assault Rifle, and for the heavy varient, have it keep the Frontier Battle Rifle name.

    For number two remember that the FRC Assault Carbine has a 9.0 base fire rate not 10.2. Both the SAW and the FRC Assault Carbine has 300 base damage. You are correct that the SAWs base fire rate is 8.0. So to recap, SAW has 300 base DMG with 8.0 fire rate, and FRC AR has 300 base damage as well with a 9.0 fire rate.

    Now a SAW is going to be able to shoot for much longer than an FRC AC can without reloading. This is how they balance each other out.

    Remember that the damage is all added multiplicatively now. You would get the same DMG number on an Frontier SAW if you pull one out of the Frontier Cache with an OJ DMG roll.

    Base DMG - 300
    Faction Vendor bonus - (1.10)
    Orange rarity bonus - (1.15)
    Weapon skills - (1.05)
    Orange DMG roll - (1.10)
    Green DMG mod - (1.05)

    300 * 1.10 * 1.15 * 1.05 * 1.10 * 1.05
    = 460.239 rounds to = 460 DMG

    If you want to compare some DPS numbers 460 (DMG) x 9.0 (fire rate) it would be at 4140 for white DMG DPS.

    And numbers for my Extra Life Thunder, 297 (DMG) x 14 (fire rate), would be at 4158 for white DMG DPS. Other things like Needlers and Springers can go higher (but they suffer from falloff).

    Overt is correct, it needs to be addressed, ignoring it would not be healthy to the game overall.

    I got these a day b4 the OP, i thought it was strange but didn`t make a big deal about it, but if i had the gun the OP had i sure have stayed quiet.

    Shhh... these are not the GUNS you are looking for...

    I happen to pull a Frontier Battle Rifle from the box the other day, assumed it was a Heavy variant and did not think anything more of it until the OP's post. Upon a second look, I also pulled a full auto. I thought maybe it has something to do with synergy (Hard Boiled vs Prepared) but it does not look like that is the case:

    Reb, the SAW is still a good weapon. I`ve been doing sieges with a SAW and with some good mods it can be a very effective weapon.
    It`s not that stable as before but still good enough.

    Overt was talking about pre-nerf saws. They used to have way more damage and accuracy and were nerfed to hell.
