Ah. I find it so. I'm sorry our opinions don't align. Rare occurrence.

I never said the concept you mentioned, was not interesting.
I was referring more to the thread itself.

Where as the general consensus is the game has gotten way too easy. We have someone trying to solo a minor arkbreak and complaining about grenade spam? heh.

All you had to do was bring up your quick menu, go under match making and click leave. Just like if you were in a co-op or a pvp match.

Is it better to out-monster the monster or to be quietly devoured?

Well, naturally that's the quickest solution. Sometimes getting side tracked and pointing out the lesser obvious stuff is just a bit more fun.

Assuming you were alone inside, the instance is meant for a group of players and not for soloing. It can be done though some players find it too tough, especially if over half a dozen bombers spawn. There is actually cover all over the ground level in the form of raised column like platforms that you use to jump from the ground floor to the mezzanine level and there are two small interior walls opposite of each other on the mezzanine level.

I solo them with a grenadier build.

    Weapons: Big Boomer, BMG
    Ego Power: Overcharge
Perks: Deadly Cascade, Killing Machine, Quick Charge, Blast Shield, Thick Skinned, Regeneration, Cellular Armor, Fortitude, Time Out, Pumped Up

Stay on the mezzanine level and spend the initial time sprinting around to avoid their shots and bombs. This takes a little patience but it will shorten the overall length of the encounter significantly because eventually the Volge will start to bunch up into a few groups which is what you want since your damage is area of effect damage and the benefits of Deadly Cascade will kick in. Once they're bunched up, pick one of the two interior walls to hide behind.

Activate Overcharge and bob back and forth from behind the wall to fire off one or two grenades at a time into a group until your magazine has emptied out and detonate. Doing just two or three reloads will kill off all the Volge in each group. You will take AoE damage from some of the grenades landing nearby, but Blast Shield will minimize the effective blast radius of some of them on you to prevent your death and your other defensive perks will minimize a lot of the rest of the damage. If your health gets too low after a few of their grenade volleys, switch out to the BMG and run around the mezzanine to get back to full shields and health and start all over again. Rinse and repeat as needed. Run to the ammo box as needed or use Ammo Spikes.
I like a challenge & thank you to Deunan, I'm going to try most of your ideas (personally can't stand bmg's), since the times I've tried to solo - I get my butt kicked also

From personnal experience the volge inside arkfalls can be irritating when alone so you will need to pick targets wisely the two main threats that should be priority targets are the drones & elite bombers. The drones are able to move from both upper and lower levels making them very difficult to destroy, the elite bombers tend to launch seekers very frequently and when a few bombers get together then you can look at 30+ seekers chasing you

The best strategy to use is to snipe the volge from the upper levels using the arch as cover but if volge are appearing on upper levels then they become priority targets
