Same here, but when i go to the incursions there they are. I bet at least 100 players at a time every time a incursion pops up.

No people are still around. They may be in arkbreaks. It may help if you say what system and server. Btw there are only 2 servers, Na, and EU, you probably mean shard. Also go into game and activate zonechat. That is the channel for the whole shard you are on. Say something in it and if after 10 minutes nobody says anything, then yes you are in an empty shard and need to go to a different one. Either log out and back in, or go into an instance and leave it, to be put in a different shard.

One of the worst "bugs" in this game. Very few people that play the game come to the forum. Imagine how many people are being turned off due to "unpopulated" shards. Whenever I play this game (hyperbole), it seems to always throw me into an empty shard.

I don't feel like changing my shard. *I* shouldn't have to do that. Just another crappy implementation for this game. *sigh*

I'm almost to the point where I would pay 25 cents to Trion to ensure me into a populated shard but with that idea the server timeouts would have to be fixed lols.

Once they correct chat, the other players will be even easier to find.
As it is currently (even with the latest updates) it can still negatively affect player retention, and a bunch of other stuff.

What is wrong with chat now? I agree that it is not perfect but it is actually manageable now. Previous versions of chat was so unbearable it actually hurt to use it.

They got rid of many of the things you could do directly from the chat window such as pull a list of players active in a chat channel (you now have to go to a separate screen for the list) and the corresponding ability to inspect players on the list, send them private messages, etc.

I've been playing with two other friends for the past two weeks and we've yet to encounter a single other player in about 10 hours of total gaming. We've even been going to major arkfalls and we're literally the only three for the duration of the arkfall (which makes it nearly impossible to beat).

Is there an easy way to resolve this?

you now have to type out the emotes as well. And to mute a rude mic user, you know have to go into the social settings and randamly mute an active chat user until you find the right one.

As far as Headsmack Amack goes. He has a whole laundry list of chat bugs that he keeps Pming to random devs. Hopefully between his findings and their findings they can improve the chat, now that they have a decent base to start from.
