Defiance Game season 2

So I have been steadily playing defiance since day one doing the races, side missions, arkfalls, volge battles, and etc. Every now and then I would play a episode and main campaign mission. I have now beat the campaign and I look at the goals, it says season 1. So just wondering will there be a season 2 with more goals and stuff. That would be exciting if they expanded the map.

Other than the episode tie-in quests, we literally know nothing of Trions plans for the games once DLC5 is released.

Either we'll get another "season" of 5 DLCs, or, less likely, a tradition expansion pack.
A third possibility is the game goes on cruise control, but with the tie-in to the show, I'm sure the game will be actively updated until at least the show is cancelled whenever that is.

I predict another season pass of 5 DLCs, though luckily, I think it'll have a more steady release date over the mess that was the first DLC and second.

I also think it would be smart of them to port the game with HD textures and the memory boost option to the PS4/XB1 as soon as possible, but at this point, that seems unlikely.

They've already clarified, a few times, that they have no intention of porting to PS4. They want to concentrate on current consoles

From what I read, the PS4 is supposed to be available in Japan starting today (2/22/14) and be available in general n April:

Does this not put the PS4 in the general ballpark of 'Current Console'?

I mean - had they started porting to the PS4 when they first heard about it - the TRION PS4 port of Defi would be ready in SOON=July/August anyway....
Am I really that far off in my speculation?

The quote was made the first time several months ago, at which point, the "current consoles" were Xbox360 and PS3.

Bottom line is. As of right now, there are NO plans to port to new consoles.
