Discussion about 1 live stream question: Clan Housing/meeting spot

"we ask this EVERY week, but its needed in this game. Can we please get a clan hall or meeting place, set in a seperate instance or underground bunker (thanks Natasha for that). Please refer to my post in the suggestions tab for this. Every other big mmo has something like this. Even just telling us "this will come in season 2" would suffice."

I personally do not want this. I do not want Dev resource time spent on a place to go stand when I'm not playing Defiance. When I'm not playing I log off. Time is limited. I do not want this taking up any priority what so ever. Give me more quests. Give me more types of Arkfall, Siege and Incursion. DO not give me a place to go stand when I can go stand at Iron Demon Ranch. Do not make another place for an open world type PvP which is clan based, just give us the option to clan only queue a Shadow war team. That does the same thing right there.


TLDR Not everyone is asking for this. It doesn't seem like a good use of time to make a place to go stand and not play the game.

Don't worry. The devs know what they can/can't do and what they want/need to do already.

If, on the devs' plate, there is a reason for this, then they will do it, regardless of who may say "don't."

If there isn't a valid reason to do this, then they won't.

Posting in here to "not" do something is in no way going to influence the devs' decision to create/not create something.

Also, saying you don't want something because you want something else is no justification to not make that first thing. Everyone wants something and they also want something else. The devs already have their plan and make small, easy changes to it when and if they can.

Relax, I for one don't ever see this happening.

Drewbud, our suggestion was not a place that you stand around in when not playing, if you would refer to the suggestions tab we made, its more of a clan hall / bunker where people can go to meet up with clan mates, leaders can post info to, have some sort of storage place for all your stuff you don't want to hock around with you. I appreciate that there are things that need to be fixed first, hence the other questions we raised, and also the other questions people before us had already raised.

However, the live stream questions are there to be answered, people from midgard want this, its a question we keep asking, and as of yet have not even received a "satisfactory" answer other than rumours of "maybe" or "it would be nice to's".

I appreciate people have other things they rank higher, but at the same time, different people have different priorities, ours are clan homes and Houdini enemies.

The things we want changed or added are no less important or wanted as anything you want, or anyone else for that matter.

I do however appreciate the chance for an open discussion on clan homes and what would be wanted or not. Please however read my original post on the subject from the suggestions tab before calling what we ask fornas unnecessary or unwanted.

Please feel free to discuss and suggest something better after doing so.

Drewbud what you or anyone else wants makes little difference to the devs. The way it looks to me the devs are doing little more then what it takes to meet Syfy's contractual obligations. I think the minimalist DLCs are poof enough of this.

I did read it. I have also had discussions about it on the zone chat. Daily quests can be handled in the interface for the clan or even easier make them on the same system that the new faction daily/weeklies are on. All I am saying is that adding a hub to so many of the things that are already in game is not an good use of time. Time is finite no matter how much you want it to be different. Some stuff will be cut due to time. Constantly asking for something that has been denied makes it seem like this is very important, and while it may be to you it is a horrible waste of time to me.

The answer has always been that they would eventually like to see something like that in game but that there are no current plans to integrate it.

You claim that you're looking for a "satisfactory", when in truth you're looking for a "Yes. This will be done! We will have it to you yesterday!" answer.

As of right now, it isn't going to happen any time soon, if it even happens.

They don't even have league halls like that in the "other" MMO that I play on my "other" console, so I don't think it will magically appear in this game any time in the foreseeable future... FWIW.

And for those keeping score, I would MUCH RATHER see a "join on clan mate" option added to the game before meeting places for our clans are added.
