The ego perks are even more underpowered then they were in beta! I already thought they were a little weak then, now they are even less effective. I understand they want balance but they really aren't rewarding players who put time into the game very much...
Give it time its a MMO, things change and stuff gets a nerf or a buff. They could change it down the line because it UP or OP. Give it time.

No need to be a ******, I never said anything about being a superhero, but part of player progression is feeling like your character is actually improving. The perks were already weak in beta, now they are almost pointless. If trion wanted to make a game where everybody was equal no matter what then they should get rid of ego level or rating all together.
a %1 increase is a increase, there you go, progression, it exists, its just not big numbers, I know seems like a lot of americans cant grasp the subtlety of small improvements, judging by all the complaining on these forums, UGH ME WANT SMASH.

Yes its an increase...but noone really wants to play a game for hours on in just for a 1% increases. Of course i saw this whinfest coming after beta, this kind of progression doesnt work well, especially on console were people switch games every few months, dont be surprised when the servers are empty from such a lackluster game with hardly any replay value and full of fluff..
Trust me, when the server population start to drop drastically i hope your content with your 1% increase when over 50% stops playing

I never said the game sucked or anything like that, there's nothing wrong with constructive criticism when you are a paying customer.

To the OP, the game puts more of an emphasis on twitch skill than it does on traditional RPG character progression. It also keeps lower EGO players from being completely worthless in Arkfalls and PVP.
There are perks with huge advantages, and some that aren't worth ****. You choose how you build your character and there's only a limited amount of perk slots early in the game. You choose to use that 1% increase or not.
I actually like the toned down progression (gear and skill) especially in a shooter. Having come from Diablo 3, I can tell you the variance in player gear and skill is massive and everyday there is someone complaining about some other class been OP.
Anyway, it is just the start now. I think you would find a noticeable difference at higher levels and with a few DLCs in. By the nature of DLC, there will be new and better guns/skills plainly to attract people to buy them.
