I believe Defiance could pull off 96 or so players at once. Mag was able to pull off 256 players at once!

I believe 96 players is the limit for a Shadow War event, not the maximum limit of players that can play in the same shard.

As kalimar41 said it will be interesting. Really think we should get the console Beta to try this out. They are asking a lot of us to pre order this game when we don't even know what a MMO will be linke on a console.

ummm final fantasy XI is in 360... its an MMO and ran just fine with thousands of ppl grouped together... FFXI also runs on backwards compatible PS3s and PS2 ppl had FFXI and everquest online adventures.

poin t being the resources to see what an MMO is like on consoles are and have already been out there.... you just havent bothered to try em

Those games were slow paced bad graphic games(played them). This is a FAST paced 3rd person shooter that wont play good if you have to much lag.

The only problem that possibly could arise is a lot of players in one area. The console of your choice will not have to render all of the players on the server, just the ones in your vicinity.

ok i was typing this basically. but bob summed it up alot better.

consoles only have to really hand whats within your draw distance. so unless you get a congrigated area like a city, it will be fine as long as there servers hold up
