    Matchmaking is a good solution. But, when I say lower the scores, I don't mean lower it across the board. More like lower it depending on how many players is in the instance. So they can keep the score as it is now if a full group enters, and lower it to a doable amount if someone enters it solo.

    If they add Matchmaking and/or adjust the scores depending on how many players is in the arena, then there will be a lot more happy Ark-hunters and a lot less of these threads.

    Trion should definitely keep the scoring this way, but needs to make it so that you dont have to enter with a group. A matchmaking-system like with co-op maps and PvP would be an excellent solution. If i enter with my group of 3 and there is a solist in matchmaking, he gets his full group and we get the party filled.

    But lowering the scores to keep solists happy... Guys please haha. You have any idea what will happen with groups? They'll triple the gold-rating requirements and see no challenge anymore. No challenge is no play. And would make this whole DLC die out within days.

    I was kinda upset at first for, again, receiving a DLC that i thought had no value. I did the storylines and was rewarded a SMG with Blur, a Sniper with Cloak. I love it! And these Arena's real help getting teamplay back up, instead of having only blue spots at every event. The Arena's arent hard, but Gold is challenging. I was afraid the new Score-system would F- everything up, but it didnt. It improved the game, making visiting the whole incursion worth while and 'punishing' players camping at the spot where the Incursion would end. Just playing the endpart will now never get you into the #1 position, meanwhile doing the whole event can give you enough points to secure a T10-box even before the Siege starts.
    The problem is that the "DLC" in this game has been, and continues to be" a joke. It is largely rehashed content with the exception of the Warmaster and a couple of the arenas. Its a giant Eff You to those that bought the season pass. Incursions are just a combination of emergencies and sieges. The arenas in the first DLC were all just one arena that had stuff moved around and enemy types changed, and those FORCED you to play solo. The arenas in this DLC are just (mostly) rehashes of previously existing co-op instances, and instead of forcing you to play solo they essentially force you to play in a group. We essentially paid for them to take already in-game content, re-re-remix it, and spit it back out as new content.

    Honestly, the Warmaster was the ONLY piece of DLC that could be considered worthwhile and was truly new content. Im of course not counting all the cosmetic crap like costumes amd reskinned weapons because that crap shouldnt be a justification for calling these jokes that 3 of the 4 releases have been paid DLC.

    Most people only want the gold requirements reduced for Dekuso because its so broken on 360 right now, and they just want to get the gold, finish the achievements, and put this piece of filth back on the shelf.

    Why should we have to choose between "possible for solo players and trivial for groups" and "impossible for solo players and doable for groups" ? It can't be *that* hard to design a system where gold is reachable in arenas for solo players, while being just a tad easier for groups. Then everyone wins.

    Looking at the co-op maps, they werent easier when you had 3 players in instead of 4. You just had to shoot more yourself and try harder. Somehow i wonder how far Trion is with getting mechanics to work in such a way that it can read the amount of present players and adjust the scoring/difficulty on that. It is possible, i've seen it in other games. But those games were produced by rich bigazz companies like EA and stuff.

    I also wonder why DLC 1 forces you to solo, the storyline forced you to solo Jackleg and Nim at the start of Defiance. But now they force you to group up. And not with a friend. No no, with a full group. At this point in this games lifecircle that is pretty hard. I doubt if Trion has the money to get mechanics into Defiance that can adjust the score and difficulty, and even if they have it they still wouldnt spent it at the stepkid under their games. But a matchmaking option aint too hard, right?

    Yeah because doing them in groups of 4 actually constitutes an "MMO" experience. The ONLY thing in this game that approaches MMO levels of teamwork and coordination is Warmaster. Everything else is just a ****ty borderlands clone with an inferior loot system and other players visible in your world. Thats it.

    It was because there was no group scoring system. There is now, so all the story missions and alll the arenas including Dlc 1's can be done in a group. I couldn't get silver in most of the Casti Dlc. I group up with 2 friends and got golds, in the first 3. A fourth friend joined us for the last 2 arenas, where we all got gold again.

    For Trion to go from forcing soloing stuff, hell even arkfalls, to forcing us to group up? Bad move... Now the DLC for the Warmaster "GETTING" everyone to group up and stop screwing around for Warmaster kills, good way to encourage cooperation. Although we had bugs, connection issues, DCed and whatnot, but overall that was the best attempt at co-op so far.

    Had Trion thought up a creative way to incorporate that kind of co-op, this DLC wouldn't of been a total umm... Well, a shot to the foot... Over and over... Plus we had one thing with that that this doesn't, MATCHMAKING!

    EDIT: I now realize that there isn't much difference between the two DLCs forcing co-op... NEGATES WHAT I SAID!
