Defiance Recovery?

To say that it has been rough here recently is an understatement. I have a proposal to help ease things with the customer and help Defiance recover.

1. Roll back the scoring system to the previous way until all of the bugs and loopholes have been worked out. If the scoring system was tied to Gunslinger (which should not have been done), roll that back also. Other companies made the same mistake of making huge game changes coupled with content dlc. They should stay separate in case of disaster. A death tax while chopping 400 points off a shield makes real sense.

2. Give all players a nominal amount of bits for this nightmare, those who bought Gunslinger a bit more if rolled back.

3. Unnerf recently nerfed items/drops. Did you even look at the item stats after nerfing? A purple Tachyon shield had the exact same stats as a blue one. It was more of a hedge cutter chop of upper items.

4. Go back and figure out what you really want with the scoring/reward system. You can't have dps and Mother Teresa. If you want people to rez people, tone down some of the flash/puke graphics so we can see the bodies.

5. If there isn't one, put a test server entry option in the login area. In the news, state whether the test server is open or not and what you hope players will discover. Invite players to join this server. Many will! Give those who participate and provide meaningful feedback a title like in your other thread.

6. Collect feedback from the test server and listen. Implement changes to the test server and repeat 5.

7. When changes are satisfactory and stable, roll it out. It is better to take a little more time than rush out crap.

8. Put in a button that allows a person to delete/breakdown/sell an item from unclaimed inventory with the appropriate "Are you sure?" prompt.

To answer 7 they have to rush them out as they are contracted to do the dlc's within a year. To answer 8 when you break stuff down it does come up on the screen telling you what your about to do so in all fairness they have done that

The shield "nerf" is a bug that is known about and will change...also shield cap changes with ego, not color/rarity. They have a test server but some bugs don't pop up until they have heavy server loads like on the live server. Also, Trion doesn't care enough to just start handing out bits for compensation.....they won't even give us keys and salvage we were screwed out of due to critical errrors and disconnects.
