So how come the game doesn't support 120HZ?

Just curious. I've never actually seen a game not support it. I've seen games capped @ 60FPS, 30, ect, but they all work on 120HZ monitors. I can go play a 1996 game and play 120HZ no problemo.

I can also go play, say, BioShock Infinite and play 120HZ.

So what exactly did Trion do, that makes this game unplayable on 120HZ? I've heard from some that all you can do is move around, and that trying to change graphic options crashes the game.

Just never actually seen this be an issue before. In any game, made in any year.

I would guess it has something to do with the game being developed simultaneously for consoles and PC and the limitations of the former.

There are alot of console ports, even a game like Dark Souls that has no issue with 120HZ. Not really an excuse.

This isn't a port, it was developed concurrently with the console version (as was Bioshock), there's nothing to port. The PC version of Dark Souls was a port designed specifically for PC's and if I recall correctly they had some graphical issues at their launch as well. Regardless, why 120mhz support was never fixed early on is beyond me but you are able to do more than just simply move around.

The game is playable, you just have no control over key bindings, graphics settings, and audio adjustments. Still very frustrating and silly nonetheless.

Why anybody with a 120hmz monitor would be running through HDMI before this is puzzling, but yes, if you want to hamstring yourself to make one program work you can use an HDMI cable - assuming your graphics card has an HDMI output.

If they had a Closed Beta that wasn't so limited for such a big download, you would have someone like me that would be helpful and find these things! Damn, I wish I spammed the surveys more with my suggestion to have a proper Closed Beta. Seems like everything Defiance-related is turning to custard - does TRION's own BETA testers pick up on this or do they just get paid to get tooth decay?
