    Why is this on PC?

This game has to be the single most PC unfriendly game I have seen in quite some time. You seriously can't argue that it was made for PC or properly ported to PC WHEN THERE ARE NOT GRAPHICS OPTIONS! So let me give you my list of complaints from a PC enthusiast, and I am positive I am not the only one out there that feels this way.

    1) Obviously no graphics options. High, Medium, Low, and Custom are completely arbitrary and don't tell me what they are adjusting. Custom is a flat out lie, you can't customize anything in terms of UI and graphics. Why would you do a half-*** job? How was this not caught in Beta or Alpha? This is a MASSIVE issues to PC users. I don't have 2 680GTXs in SLI and a overclocked 3770k just to sit at Xbox360 garbage graphics. Give me and every other PC user proper graphics options.

    2) Why the completely insane way to navigate menus? PC users have a mouse and keyboard for a reason. We can navigate menus quite well and don't need some stupid comrose, that is obviously for analogue sticks, to navigate between your character, social, settings, store, matchmaking, or any of that other crap you guys thought we needed to have. If you want to give it to the PC users, MAKE IT PC FRIENDLY!

    3) Chat is completely useless. It is a one line bar that can't properly show messages people are sending. What if I want to look for a group actively doing a specific quest? or need help with a mission? I wouldn't expect anyone to even see anything I type into the chat bar, when its minimized at all times for everyone. Why can't I change this setting? What is the purpose behind this foolish design? WHY CAN'T I CHANGE MY UI!

    4) Arbitrary E-Peen stroking levels. Why would there not be an explanation about what a persons "ego" is? What does it represent? Why does it not show a true level next to someones name? It would really be quite simple. Just make their true level be right to the left of their shield and health bar above their head so people aren't saying moronic things like "IM LEVEL 143! HURR DURR" when they are "ego" 143 which tells people absolutely nothing whatsoever. What was the purpose of this? Why was this stupid design decision made? Why was this not addressed in a video, or a post, or in-game, or in the games description? What is the cap? You cannot randomly decide to through out the level system and try to reinvent it without a good reason to do so. Even Call of Duty, burn in hell, follows the basic system of levels.

    5) Beta. Many people have said this game is in Beta. The Steam page and everywhere else says this is release. How is it that the beta didn't address these issues? That's what a beta is for. These are fundamental basics that should have been fixed in the early development of the game. Is there no QA team? This is utterly unacceptable to release a game with this many problems that should have been addressed at the start of the testing phase. When enemies are ghosting through geometry to avoid fire and clip out of an obviously inanimate wall with no spawn doors, that is not okay. You seriously want people to take this game and the show seriously? Fix this and hire a real QA team. Hell, I will gladly help with it.

    6) Autoaim on PC. Tell me why Autoaim is forced on every single PC player? In an "online open-world shooter where thousands of players scour a transformed Earth competing for alien technology", you seriously think that it is fair to put essentially an aimbot in the game? I cannot even begin to log the amount of problems this will cause if PvP ever takes off, nor can I count all the times this stupid system has made me lock onto an enemy I am not even trying to engage, but is stuck to it because it wants me to aim at it. Why? WHY?!?

If you honestly want this game to succeed in the PC community and have the PC community enjoy it and recommend the game, then you are going to have to fix these basic issues. There are a ton more screw ups for PC players you thought we wouldn't find, but we did and now you have to fix it. I am certainly hoping that this intolerable lack of care for PC gamers will be addressed or I know that I personally will pursue a refund so I don't have to deal with this broken crap.

    Additional Problems:

    7) Patcher is unreasonably slow and often results in failed downloads or corrupted installs.

    8) Game does not properly work on 120Hz monitors.

    9) Missions randomly reset at random points in completing a quest. It does not save your progress, it will not continue your progress, it will revert your progress to an earlier point, and it will frustrate you.

    10) Render distance on PC is flat out insulting.

No, this is no longer BETA. This is live. Although I agree with you on the problems that still plague this game at release, I can tell you why it wasn't fixed during Alpha/Beta. These aren't bugs to be fixed. This is just your opinion of how the game should work. Again, as I said, I also agree. I pointed out each and every item you brought up as feedback comments during the last three months of play. Hopefully enough other people also agree and speak up so it will be changed. Just wait until you get the Dodge Challenger and hear the sound effect they used. You'd swear you were hauling something in a Big Rig.

There are a couple items I do see as me wanting the game to work a certain way, but by and large, its the lack of any effort that was put into making the PC community feel welcome. It is overly counterproductive. In terms of how "ego" works, which I reminds me of the Duke Nukem released last year or whatever, I want an explanation as to how it works instead of having players figure it out. Level systems were great because you knew what the max level was, what level you and your friends are, and could gauge your ability to do certain content and difficulty of content based on level. Obviously in MMOs there starts to become a gear requirement, but at least give players the ability to know that the content they are attempting to do is made for a specific "ego" range i.e. "Random Mission requires EGO 140" or whatever the case may be.

My point about BETA is the fact that people are making excuses for this game being this terrible at launch by saying we are playing BETA. If this was a BETA, I wouldn't have that big of a problem with it as a consumer, but I would still be a little peeved at it.

At the end of the day, this was obviously made as a console game, ported to PC, and is the worst PC port I have seen in a long time. You can't make the argument that leaving out graphics options is my "opinion of how the game should work". This is just the latest example of sheer laziness by the development team. I want to take this game seriously, I want to enjoy it, I want to learn more about the lore in the game even though the dialogue is painful, but it is impossible with the current state the game is in.

I will. I usually download games at speeds around 13-16mb/s, thats around 116mbps, from Steam or any other digital distribution client, but with this game I got lucky and downloaded it several days ago when the launcher was available via the Trion website. However, my roommate was downloading the game today and suffered speeds up to 500kb/s on the same connection that gets the exact same speed, which is completely unacceptable and is completely the fault of Trion. He got a corrupted download 3 times and I just transferred the game to his PC when I got home so he didn't have to put up with it.
