Easiest way to get the 5k kills with Pistols?

I started using a full-auto pistol but I was wondering if there is an area I can farm kills quickly...

Are there any repeatable events with light enemies like skitterlings with which I can use my preferred pistol? The rampages shouldn't work because you cannot switch weapons. Let me know your thoughts as I would like to farm a little then play sieges/incursions/arkfalls with my other toys...

Sutro Tower and North Point Rescue, i think the NP would be easier to grind. also Hotshot:Reservoir Chickens are done with pistol, so check it out - maybe it would count towards 5k Kills.
also don't worry about pistol kills - worry about 5k bolt action sniper kills. it could take way more time because of fire rate and ammo capacity

AND the fact mobs will come swarming you, forcing you to alt to different weapons.

The final arena of gunslinger is pretty much perfect. The matron continuously spawns skitterlings. You can actually jump back up out of her pit and the skitterlings for the most part can't/won't follow you. So just stand up on the ledge, when they gather up below shoot them with your Volge Thunderer.

If you don't have the DLC's I believe you can have a friend that does have it start it and join on them. Then use a northstar flare or blaster or whatever you like.

5k bolt action sniper kills is easy as pistol if you get a blue headshot bolter, just use it and slugger but need stand shoot. also if you get a OJ one it must have 20 rounds mag, more effective than a slugger in farming kills

also this, yes. i've been farming this with Volge Sniper rifle. yes, splash-grinding through skitterlings.

5k bolt action sniper kills is easy as pistol if you get a blue headshot bolter, just use it and slugger but need stand shoot. also if you get a OJ one it must have 20 rounds mag, more effective than a slugger in farming kills

its not that easy - as Amun Ra said, mobs could swarm you to death this way. and for pistols, you just need two Blasters with mag rolls and ammo box or spikes.

I was doing the reservoir chickens and when round ended there was an emergency outside, i was quickly swarmed and my shield broke while trying to get back into event, when i arrived in the event instead of the weapon you get standardly equipped with i had my own weapons that i had equipped to use, i had a 14 shot northstar equipped at the time, got over 600kills

Get yourself a couple of Volge Thunderers or Northstar Flares with 25% clip on kill on, or one of each and play the first thorn liro normally till round 3 then switch to your pistols whack Overcharge and melt the skits, every time one pistol runs out the other should be full and all you need do is switch no reload required, an ammo spike may help, switch back to normal weapons for round 4 then back to pistols when the skits come out in round 5.
